This suggestion feels much like a solution looking for a possible problem. The commission vendors were specifically designed for high end items and/or items that do not sell quickly. They work as intended. Leave them be.

Make them worth 100 cleanup points to match the points given for the various items fished up before getting the chest from a MiB. It's not a crazy amount of points but is still worth something.

The use of equipment to boost skill happens with virtually every skill. It is not unique to stealing. I do not see any reason to single it out as a special skill that should be forced to be "real skill."

A rather minor addition would be to allow us to fly a chosen flag atop the mast. Limit it to one of the towns or virtues (or anit-virtues) or whatever. Just make our ships a bit more unique.

I noticed the same thing happening yesterday as well. Mine are freshly crafted armoires (one crafter about a week ago and the other crafted this past weekend. Was a bit annoying. And this was on Lake Superior.
