Yes @ Kyronix those of us who water one time a day are not able to produce Mandrake Root or Garlic. The plants will get to the second green stage and then revert to smaller, just like the pic above.
@Pawain I water several times a day and still not able to get MR or Garlic. Tonight I noticed what may be Garlic and MR growing in someone's plot?
I'm jealous. If possible could those post what time they watered? (If they even post here) I saw MR look like 2nd stage in the field SW of the field in above images.
It would help tons if there was a trigger time to water.
I was going to simply delete my seeds and replant only Nightshade and Ginseng. But how do I do that? @Kyronix Should we still wait and see if this can be fixed? Or, just stop planting the problem seeds until you give us the go ahead? But....how do we go about planting different seeds? Anyway to trash the problem seeds?
I watered this AM. My NS and Gar were able to be clipped and replanted. I decided to re water the one on the corner to see if it will look different from the one next to it which I did not water a second time.
Yup the guy in the middle is watering often, the owner is a poster in this thread.

-------- Garlic has 22 Britannia days, so I think it was stagnant at the seed period.
I watered them ahead of time because I thought they would run out of water during maintenance, but if I hadn't, would the seeding time have been shorter?
Would it be better, by any chance, to sow the seeds right after maintenance?
That way, watering would only need to be done one cycle after maintenance?
I'll give it a try when I get over my cold and have more time.

@ Kalsey
Hello.
I am posting a growing record of this garlic.(the south plot of this picture)
But I got a cold in real life, so I couldn't go to the field much at night in the real world. Of course I didn't water during that time.
In fact, I grew garlic in two plot.
A with more water.
B was grown without water from the middle of the season.
The result was the same.
But I watered both of them right after the server maintenance.
-------
garlic A
Day6 Oct57 3:31pm seed after server maintenance watered
Day18 Oct69 4:39pm leaf(lv2) after server maintenance watered

Snipped by me for focus:
Ok, this is great, I see you grew garlic. Good Job. Thank you I will try this.
The server has gone down a few times on me and I'm unsure what maintenance time is for NL. Anyone? (I did try searching before I asked)

Hi,
The regular down time that I am aware of is 10pm Japan time.
In the US Central Time Zone, that would be 7:00 AM.
The server comes back up about 5-10 minutes later.
I watered plots/plants at 10 AM central this morning.
12 Noon Central check on plot, all had reverted to fist stage. Believe it to be first stage, they are small dirt patches showing freshly planted seeds.
Any update as to what the findings are with farming?
Here are my farms today, I watered the first plot and part of the second. the graphics reverted. Harvested the Ginseng and Nightshade as usual.
Maybe @Community Manager could rent a plot, plant Mandrake Root and Garlic, water it one random time a day and see if she can grow them to harvest. Let the devs know the progress. Thanks
Here's photos of the last few visits to the farm. I've already posted the photo from Saturday night where I could not water during the day due to work. I could only water once on Sunday night and again once Monday night due to work. Basically on my work days, which last from 14 to 16 hours each, I'm only able to water once. Sometimes I really don't feel like it, but if I don't I'll lose my plot.
First photo is Sunday night, harvested Ginseng and Nightshade as usual. Nothing else progressing
This photo from Monday night, same as previous night. Harvested ginseng and nightshade.
This from just a few minutes ago. Tuesday morning appx. 9:15 Eastern. Harvested ginseng and nightshade.
I'm not working today and will try to water often, but with real life obligations, won't be able to do it every 2 hours without fail. I'll try to make note of the times that I water and will post results later tonight or tomorrow.
Thank you to those who are participating in this thread. And I agree with the suggestion that if someone from the Broadsword team would just lease a plot and plant Mandrake or Garlic, they would have first hand knowledge and experience of what is going on. I would think they would have the tools to figure out what is or isn't working.
Could we get some type of update on the status of farming? Maybe even give us a way to discard the broken seeds so we can plant something that grows.
Possibly someone could look at the coding for Nightshade and Ginseng, use that coding for Mandrake and Garlic? Yes, it would be a shorter grow time for MR and Garlic, however I think that is fair.
Or, just send the coding for all plants/seeds to the loop that works.
Please, most of the spots in my plot are stuck with broken seeds/links. I am unable to plant and harvest seeds that grow.
Or even give us the pots from prodo so we can grow in those?
1. Don't plant cotton or Flax, you can get wool from sheep that are all over the place now, Thanks! I have sheared over 200 wool while farming just standing in this field. 2. Ginseng and Nightshade take 1 RL day to go from plant to Harvest. 3. My Gallic took less than a week to harvest.
Here is todays Picture. 1. is beginning today, (I watered a garlic.) 2. is what they looked like after watering. 3. Is what they looked like after harvesting.
I was going back through the thread to see if there were any tips I missed. Hate to ask this, but...do you remember how you got the garlic to grow at that time? Like how often or times you were watering?
Also, I've never been able to get MR to get to the stage you have in the image. Well, actually MR or garlic.
One poster gave the times he watered right after maintenance, I tried doing that but nothing. There has to be some trigger that we are missing.
Can someone from the DEV team plant a plot....pease?

Why does the stuff revert to a lower form during the day, even when watered. I ask yet again @Kyronix

I thank you for all your hard work. It is very much appreciated, I do read your Wiki every other day. Nice job and it helps much.
Do you think this thread should be moved to report bugs? There is a lot of information that may help the DEVs trouble shoot the problem.
Thanks
I know I suggested it once. It may just be a simple fix, wish one of the DEVs would seed a plot. It would sure help.
Harvested the Ginseng and Nightshade as usual.

I water one time a day. Some times in the morning sometimes at night. But always during that server up period.
Here is today: I harvested the Ginseng and NS. Garlic and MR are small plant graphic.
Let me know when this is fixed. Thanks
Yeah, same here. Wondering if anyone has been able to harvest cotton this past week?
So, we just let our plots die out? Looks like that is what a few others did.
Not sure how we'll find out if this is ever fixed.
