I believe the cultist are reskinned from a Ronin (the ones with halberds actually heal) which I don't think have a slayer so my guess is that the cultist also do not have a slayer. Use enemy of one (Chiv) for extra damage.

People will usually call out in chat. Make sure you get your 3 runs in to guarantee a drop. I think Krampus will go a lot slower this year (similar to last year) due to many people focusing on the event (ie nests / mature eggs).
