    There is no rationalizing cheating.

There is no rationalising a dead set opinion that is not open to adaptation.

All that has to happen, is the rules change, and something is not cheating.
You can church it up all you want bud, it doesn’t change anything.

    Scripting is still cheating.
I asked the AI - Is scripting cheating.
Now as I come from a Professional background, and I encourage others to learn and progress themselves, the 3rd paragraph is relevant to me, this is the future, this is the way. :)

This should be good.  What functions do you want to fully automate, professionally speaking of course.

     :D
When you think about technology, and progress.

A lot of money is spent by the military, and it feeds into civilian technology.
The same used to be true for space technology into civilian technology.
These days - it is gaming tech - that flows into civilian tech - the reason games should and must progress, is because that is how we progress society, that is how we, and our kids learn to adapt to society around us, as it is.

I remember when macros were brand new - then they got put into spreadsheets.
    Then scripts.
Then APT links between softwares, so they could link up, and shard info and perform tasks etc etc.
    Voice Chat became Microsoft Teams.
Virtual Reality games, became Instructors into some technical roles.
    Then AI.
Professionally speaking, my entire role could be automated, to allow me to play more UO. :)
Ok, but this doesn’t answer the question does it?

I asked you how you wanted to script and you gave me word salad about the military and civilian tech.

Much like the one before, by telling me we all we need to do is be flexible with the idea of scripting and all they needed to do is change the rules to allow it.

Great, i guess if we are going to continue sell me your ideas.  What do you want it to script?

    I answered it.
I would like to script my job role to allow me to play more UO. :)
I also would like my kids to be able to learn scripting and coding, to prepare them for the world.

In terms of UO, as that is where I feel you are coming from, I personally am looking at the bigger picture, but I will answer.
Anything I want to, to give me quality of life - the possibilities are endless - why limit ourselves?
    Why limit our imagination?
    It's a game... enjoy it.
Some people like to build/deco houses.
Some people like to play chess.
Some people like to build scripts.

Did I overdo the scripting in UO?
    No. I have never botted.

You are skirting what you know I am asking,

But to help. Cheating has been going on for the entirety of the game, it’s likely only a matter of time until something comes along to replace it.

Until then, enjoy the game by playing it on “hard” mode.

This cookie guy seems very smart/cool. Knows what he’s talking about; and respectful about it.
Cookie is fine, he is just politely advocating the return of scripting. It surprised me when I saw the banned next to his name yesterday.

My sarcasm detector is broken.. very funny!

Considering he's arguing with his alt.. this shit is funny as hell.
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?
