Now I'm getting hit with "incorrect password" instead of hanging on "verifying", and none of my passwords have changed. Even changed one manually to confirm you get an email when it changes. This bodes well...
The login server is wonky today and it may not be able to verify that your password is what you put in. I get that, the can't communicate and just plain timing out. you can eventually get in if you keep at it. It takes around 20-25 attempts. @ kyronix, any update on what's wrong?

Well, I am not as lucky because I am around 50 attempts so far, and have yet to be able to get in....

I think it's gotten worse as more people are around trying to get in.

Well, given the circumstances, shouldn't the Developers give us up to date informations on the situation ?

Players are wasting their time trying to log in, I think we deserve to be told whether or not trying over and over can get one in, eventually, or whether it is all a royal waste of a UO player's time as things are, and we would be better off to cease trying to login until whatever is the issue gets fixed...

We have a Community Manager, right ?

Couldn't our Community Manager inform us about what is going on with the Login Server and what should we, as UO players, do in that regard ?

    They did for this.  https://uo.com/2025/01/28/login-server-issues/

And they gave dates things end.
    https://uo.com/2025/01/21/2025-roadmap-update/

They don't know how long it will take to fix this.

Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

Would they consider compensating the community for the inconvenience?

Perhaps a free 30-day subscription extension, a Soulstone Token, or a Mythic Token could show appreciation for our patience and loyalty.

This gesture would mean a lot to the player base and help maintain goodwill during this challenging time.

    Never hurt to ask :)

You want them to take time out from trying to fix it, to come and tell you that they're trying to fix it?

Still having no luck at all... have given up on counting my attempts on logging in but I think I reached 100 and going...

Sometimes I get this gump after a very long Connecting/Verifying Account screen

While sometimes I get this other one

End result, no log in... :/

I would rather that they extend the invasion and tmap events.  I need another 98 invasion drops to get yet another 50 SDI spell book.

Honestly, they need to let us know what is going on. It doesn't take this long to get sites back up, or what ever, just like a few short weeks ago. It's always radio silence and its annoying, poor customer service for sure.

Letting us know it is down is good, but also when it comes up so we don't keep trying to log in, causing more problems on their end.  After the servers being down and crashing alot then this, some good will towards subbed players would be appreciated.  It seems like my days off this month when I want to play, I'm unable to at all.

Oh, don't forget to blame Trump for global warming, causing the bird flu, that somehow also caused covid, and servers getting viruses too.  That, or the light from Venus and swamp gas.... you get the MiB reference.

At the risk of sounding like @Grimbeard, Yes, someone should have come into this thread and said something even as simple as "hey, we're aware and working on it" a long time ago. That's something the community manager could have done without pulling Kyronix and or Bleak away from their working on it. No communications gets you a rowdy player base and drives customers away.

Is the post on uo.com not enough for you?  Why do they need to come into *this* thread versus the main communication channel they use. Not everyone reads these forums.

Is it time for wild speculation that eventually gets the thread locked? >:)

I'd rather we concentrated on sending positive vibes to the poor soul trying to get to grips with the problem and fix it.

Positive vibes are a great start, but adding in coffee and red bull will speed up the process!

here's an idea - that newsletter email list they use a few times a year?  blast us when the log in server is available so we don't waste all evening wondering if this attempt is going to the one. Then comp us the cost of a days subscription or something equal value in game that we actually all are for such as a potion that improves our drops to make up for any lost today.  If you use the potions already, well... you got a free one.

This post started at 9:28amEST and the post on uodotcom was about 3:20pmEST. they could have acknowledged it a lot sooner. Lack of communications breeds discontent and Mcdougles . . .

Agreed, but the growing level of silence lately is disconcerning to say the least. and this is coming from a person that normally is on the side of the Devs.

I hope they extend the events to make up for this lost time.

Just a thought, but maybe extending ending of events by each day lost would be nice.

Well, I don't know about what other UO players like to check but, personally, I hardly check the UO.COM news while I very often check the Official Forums...

Regardless, why does it have to be either one and couldn't the updating UO players on what is going on be on both, the UO.COM news and  the General "Official" Forum ?
