natural dyes on platemail

im sure this has been around forever but i just noticed it yesterday, i can use my naturals dyes on any piece of platemail armor except for female plate why is that?

    Can you use the dyes on female plate  that has been enhanced with other ingot types?

    have you tried to dye them using a metallic dye tub and then using a natural dye?
