Hey @Kyronix @Mesanna Way to go with you 'fix." is it really that hard to test things?

So, it lost the "Parrot" out of the name. So much for the 'fix.' I guess I should have known.....
If only there was some mechanism to test new features......

When 109 was in Test Center, I copied my parrots over to try it out, and the parrot's name became Hawkwind's Robe. This issue was reported in the Test Center forum and the reply from Kyronix seems that this is intended. No one else seems to have any issue with this except for me. So there you go.

    Using the free tabard:
Hawkwind's Robe ---> Tabard of Honor (blank), it becomes,
    Item name: Tabard of Honor
    Item graphic: Tabard of Honor
    Item stats: Hawkwind's Robe stats

    Using the "paid" transmog potion
Hawkwind's Robe ---> Parrot (0 stats), it becomes,
    Item name: Hawkwind's Robe
    Item graphic: Parrot
    Item stats: Hawkwind's Robe stats

The above comparison shows its not a limitation of the system/programming.
Why must the Parrot be called a Robe, when it is still a Parrot graphic?
What is the reason or logic behind this design intent?

To be fair.....  If the parrot identifies as a robe, should we really judge that parrot.. robe... whichever.

Thou shalt not judge a book by its cover... but a book is still called a book, regardless of what is inside.

Imagine being a new player and you see parrots called robes. That’s weird. Should follow the same logic as the tabard.

    One thing I found is...
it also carries the insured property from the epaulette too

Also if you try to put it on a parrot named after someone else,
it will change to the characters name of the one who used the Transmog Potion.

Nah. Insured blessed is easy to make. When you use a cbd or item bless deed on an item that's insured it still stays insured and blessed until you uninsure it.

I see, so it's rather common
  • The fix is to make a character named "a parrot", transmog and sell these for profit.
