Is there a better way to tame a CU?

I've tamed a dozen or so CUs since getting to 120 taming using the following method:

  1. Lure to grassy area using agro
  2. Turn invisible
  3. Use the taming skill on the CU
  4. Immediately run away
  5. if CU attacks run further away then turn invisible then heal self if necessary
  6. If CU does not attack and taming starts run back to the CU and wait
  7. If CU had attacked or taming failed repeat at step 3

Is there a better way to tame a CU?

Lead Taming is the most used.  I have peace tamed a few and also peace and let others tame, peace doesn't always work but if Cu argos you can always area peace then retry lead tame.

if you have spellweaving there is etheral voyage, and honoring yourself. keeps the cu from attacking when you make it angry, till the effects wear off(usually 2 attempts).

When lead taming always go north/south/east/west as shown on your UO map. You'll lose tiles if you go straight up/down/left/right
