Orcs on pirate ships immune to orc slayers?

It appears that orcs on pirate ships are immune to orc slayers.  I have a orc slayer spell book with an SDI of 29.  All orcs other than those on pirate ships I do around 300 points of damage per spell cast.  But the orcs on pirate ships I am only doing about 60 points of damage per spell cast.  Is this to be expected?

    Is this before or after you scuttle the ship?  There is an aura around the ship that reduced the damage they take until you scuttle it iirc. I believe armor ignore will bypass it. (Which does a mage no good though).

    They also ignore Mask of Orcish Kin, so it would seem they are in a different class.

    Do they ignore you with those flippers on ? I've never tried, but I'm gonna guess no..

    Please make the Grizzled Mare a 5 slot mount, it's incredibly rare and deserves it. Some of us have been waiting a long time for this simple addition.

    Use repond slayer weeps / books.
