The aged / impossible question of farming 'clean' jewellery #CLEANJEWELS

Hi everyone...

I've reviewed various threads and found no clear answers on farming clean jewels.

But having seen various vendors, its clear there must be a secret to farming 'clean' jewellery. i.e.

+10% SSI
+10% SSI / DI 25%

ETC

I've tried, Trogs / Guardian room doom / Prism of light, Navrey etc

I've tired luck iterations from 0 to 2500

I have done about 40 hours of farming with little results, maybe 1 SSI 10 / 25% DI.

Has anyone got a clear view on this..

That one vendor that has them all the time.  For years!

Best kept secret since @Victim_Of_Siege gave out the recipe to Granny's Possum stew behind the Rabid Cat .  Was it worth it Vic?!

I've gotten some good jewelry from the dragons during the current storyline, including some great SSI/DI jewelry (albeit mostly prized and some antique). Not the Matriarch herself - she gives out mostly artifacts.

Do the Matriarch, and then check the corpses of all of the dragons around her.

There is no guaranteed method or Mob to farming them as far as I know. The best method that I've experienced is to have low luck and farm where the monsters respawn fast and are of low fame so there aren't a lot of mods on the jewelry. After that it's the UO RNG :( . There may be a better method, but I have not heard of it.

The various vendors comment was exactly this solitary shop! haha

I think ultimately it comes down to loot tables which most of us don't know much about. To Vic's point if you want a clean 2 mod overcapped piece you should be killing X mob (and from there it's rng).

This is something I wish the Devs would help with because of the rng, it's very hard to pinpoint what amount of luck you need. I have requested in the past that the Devs give a purpose to Item ID skill and allow us to get the "source tag" / origin from items when using it...ie a clean 2 mod jewel would say "This item appears to have been looted from X (a fan dancer)". That way people could at least try to farm the items they are looking for.

    Excellent idea.

I think the lack of clarity that is most frustrating on this, especially given time, money etc for creating the luck suits.

I don't mind grinding, but if the outcome is a 0.002% chance compared to 0.2% due to mob / luck variations, think that side should be more transparent.

40 hours? Rookie. Jk. Some of us have tried years without much result. I once got a clean ss jewel from a mongbat so it's all hidden equations and riddles trying to get a solid answer.

I remember back in the day mud elementals in shame was the place until people discovered instant respawn places.

But like Grim said, if you follow the 24/7 farmers you'll get an idea where they CAN come from. I think they're doing the dojo for a shot at a splintering bokuto as well.

You can get them from almost anything. I got some from scalis, dragon, succubus and many others even champs from spawn. Now i only loot champ and dont waste my time looting corpse becaus 99.9% not worth it. But for your 2 mods you can get them from anything that drop 2 mods on a ring or bracelet

Just keep killing stuff and if you have a treasure hunter do treasure chests.   Also, check vendor seach at least once every play session.  Don’t see any tinker responses here.  It might be possible to make one, but have never researched that.

From my understanding is that you want high karma mobs and a luck around 2050 (or was it 2500).

You cannot craft SSI (what almost all dexers want) on jewels. Also cannot overcap properties like 20 DCI or 35 DI.

Or to be strictly accurate, you can craft SSI, but only 5% and only on a ring.
    Turquoise ring.

Yes sorry - I meant "Imbue" when I said craft. Thanks for the clarification Mariah!
