    Why shouldn't a player who has a Tamer be able to find their own pet by themselves and have to "buy" it from another player if I may ask ?

    For a player who plays a Tamer, to my opinion, being able to find and train one's own pet is not the same feeling as buying it from another player, besides the issue of perhaps not having the gold necessary to do it...

    And this, because the Developers made the spawn chances for Mature eggs extremely low as many players who so far have not been able to get one, are reporting ?

    @Kyronix, perhaps the odds of getting a Mature egg from hidden chests, from Nest Maps and from the Matriarch should be increased or introduce a "counter" whereas if a player has found X hidden chests, digged up X Nest Maps or helped kill X Matriarchs without getting a Mature egg drop they would finally get one ?

    I lost track of how long the event has been going on but however many days of that x8-15hrs a day of egg searching and I have 0 eggs to my name... I think my characters are cursed and my sanity is waning.  :p

    regular eggs are given away for free then may not have people wanted , Moreover, selling them to 400million ?! and also, before I already searched, I found that the cheapest mature eggs are not 400 million , is 570 million

    he says not to trust vendor search, its a free market, and a free billboard with 0 regulations resembling our modern monetary system, prices are what people pick for them and rarely stabilize to a consensus because the variety of really interesting things is limited, so the offer is limited. Once those items are entrenched, nobody is interested in buying an "intermediate" they want one in this small variety of the absolute best... so this creates multi-fold problems which are impossible to manually moderate. So status quo... but there is a design way, for sure, there is always a design to solve such imbalances.

    There is a HUGE problem with such a rarity system in a game... not exactly news: in real life people would get into trouble for fraud for market manipulation and the various schemes going on here (not accusing anyone or talking about any dev work here) just the inflation is unreal in real time, we see it being manipulated while we play over several weeks... say a player is really rich, and follows the news and finds out this or that item now has a new use and will rise in price, or this item is getting lower supply and most supply is owned by those really rich players *cough*.

    He can walk around, purchase all those remaining items from players who priced them reasonably for normal players, and then jack the price... now when people search the price of that item on vendor search to sell their own, they see the jacked price, and it can never go down again to reasonable gameplay logical levels (fun levels, put simply), so long as that item still has a use, even if only cosmetic.

    This is what is happening with the power scrolls right now.

    Its all speculation that people will keep sinking them at this speed, and personally I think its very ugly when it happens in a mmorpg. We know its legal, we know it will happen, but its ugly and brings that "ugh" feeling back for many.

    I've questioned people about some gifts I've received in game, and pretty much everyone buys from these really rich players...

    One thing I have to say is the community, the guilds, the people playing UO are so nice and I really feel a strong heartbeat in here.  

    I understand the intentions behind the rarity system, but it was clear it would eventually taint the new player/returning player experience... and if some of those players don't stay because ugh, then it just gets worse, I won't go into details because anyone can go study economy 101.

    its a vicious circle, lets face it... its anarchy... and anarchy is not UO's main demographic idea of fun...

    can only speak for myself I guess, but this is my general feedback about it, from my feeling and talking to a lot of new and old players.

    I don't want to be a smart ass, but the hands off approach, is expected here. And I understand it, nobody wants this ugh drama, I wouldn't touch it either.

    But if its not getting smaller, brushing it under the rug is not going to be a long term solution.

    Design. Back to the boards, because its not only about quantity and longevity, its about quality of experience and not feeling manipulated while you play to relax and evade somewhere in your imagination.

    I should have the option to play the game, and not worry about this ugh drama.

    Mature egg prices are dropping.  The lowest I have seen so far was someone selling in chat for 500M.   But players call out, buying mature egg for 400M.  A player without a vendor would prob sell at that price.  Next week lower.
