nti-AFK system is targeting the wrong people?

Apparently, moving nonstop, dodging dragons, and spamming skills for 20 minutes = AFK now.
Good to know!
Quite few people Not AFK reported that they are not getting any drop. I will be very upset if i buy 10K soves and buy potions and not be able to use. are we getting a refund if that happen???

What shard / toon are you playing / time / dungeon / multiple toons played / etc? I'm sure some people that are not AFK are hit with the penalty mistakenly, but in the entire time it's been active (years now) I've only ever been hit maybe once in the very early stages.

Again, not saying that you were mistakenly hit with it but giving more info might help them resolve the mistakes or at the very least help others be aware of those things. In past events, I try to play in the areas that the BOTs aren't really working (like the invasion event I was in the solen hives) because I feel like my toon might get lumped in with them.

hmm didnt know they were still doin that, normally i always get hit with that every event, ill stand still long enough to type something in gen chat and wham get hit with a afk ban, but that hasnt happen at all this time, so either they greatly improved their system or they are only doin it on Atlantic.

I mean, while some are stationary or whatever, many bots do move nonstop and spam skills. The solen hives on ATL were full of them. They followed the same path, rezzed at the healer in the same way, etc. Regardless the system of flagging users is pretty dumb, and I thought they had abandoned it.

I didn't encounter this last night.

Using EC, no 3rd party, solo character, no auto follow, squeaky clean setup using original components only.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Have you try to keep your journal open?

This is what I used to do ~2decade ago to not get timed out.
Pretty sure it still does the trick.

EX: you wanna burn time for a murder count.. go in your house and open the journal, u can AFK with no problem.
Edit: I'm talking about CC no idea about EC.
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?

Leave attended paying accounts alone, these people go thru a lot of trouble to automate the game.

It’s comical to me you are so frightened of somehow bod scripters get some sort of advantage.

OP isn’t talking about the auto-disconnection after a period of inactivity, if that’s what you mean. They are talking about being flagged as AFK through some anti-botting measure that was implemented some time ago and never worked properly, if I’m not mistaken.

When you use a third party client, you don’t get kicked for inactivity. Regardless, the premise that bots have the appearance of being AFK (by sitting in one spot, for example) isn’t correct.

Go to the active dungeon: you will see Sampires zipping from one enemy to another in a highly optimized path such that they often cluster together. At this point, it’s by design that the events are overrun with bots, so they should just remove the flagging system, if it really has been reinstated as the OP suggests.

    Do not mind me then..

It sound like the same logic they apply to the house placement tool.. anti looping measure (bad AFK bots, not moving attacking nearest; like a wraith archer would do) more than addressing the real issue, wich like you are mentionning is bypass by third party users.

    My bad.
