I entered the hidden valley!

I had a similar experience where I was unable to go through the area between the end of the volcano tunnel and into the hidden valley. We had 4 people trying to do so, with the 4th finally able to move forward. The 3 who couldn't use the EC while the 4th uses the CC. With him inside the valley we were able to use magical travel to allow me entry into the area and complete the quest.

Generally speaking if you ever have an issue in game I would always suggest paging a GM for assistance.

I did page and I waited for over an hour while the rest of the story transpired. Maybe I wasn't clear in my page as to the exact issue (it is hard to describe after I know the work around let alone when I had very little info to go on other than I can't pass into the quest area even when all indications are that I am in the correct spot) but about 2 hours after the page and 45 mins after we had resolved it, I received a canned message with the following "This appeal was closed without contacting you directly, because it was determined to be a type of question or issue that is not handled by in-game GMs".

Additionally earlier today I think I confirmed (at least to my satisfaction) that it is a difference between the Classic and Enhanced clients. I took the character to the tunnel and ran in using EC and came to an impassable halt. I logged out and opened the CC and was able to pass through the rock wall to the south and enter the valley. Within the valley I coud move with either client but when I tried exiting north back through the rock, I was unable to do so using the EC but easily passed in CC. I don't know if GMs would be able to realize this is happening as I don't know their interface. I hope that the description here is clear enough that the issue can be repeated by testers and then fixed.
