How do I remove this guy macroing at my home entrance?

@Kyronix @Parallax GMs, fellow players, Maybe this is exactly what he wanted — attention.

So here it is. A character named Chongchong is blatantly using an illegal third-party program to repeatedly macro An Lor Xen (Invisibility) right at my doorstep in Trammel.

Let me lay this out clearly: I paged a GM, reported the harassment, and directly targeted the offending character. No surprise — zero response.

I can’t even lure a monster to handle it — he auto-invises nonstop. He’s deliberately blocking my recall spot — an obvious and disruptive grief tactic.

Meanwhile, we’ve all seen stories of players being banned for vague or inconsistent reasons. Yet here we are, watching blatant unattended macroing and targeted harassment go completely unchecked.

This is exactly why people lose faith in the system. If we’re going to continue allowing Endless Journey (EJ) accounts, then limit them to New Haven — period.

Giving unrestricted world access to free accounts with no consequences just fuels scripting, griefing, and bot armies. There needs to be a clear line between sampling the game and exploiting it.

And there needs to be real, visible enforcement of the rules we’re all supposedly playing by.

Enough is enough.

Perhaps you should ask for the same change requested here:

The game barely has any players to begin with, and the majority of those that remain are unironically in their twilight years. Lets completely kill off the ability to get new players, just for you, bud. This is the absolute DUMBEST idea I've ever heard. Go make another recall spot or two, not call for the nuclear option because one jackass annoyed you. ForeverFun's suggestion is the perfect solution, and it doesn't involve burning the front door to the ground out of spite. Wishywashy GM's aren't a valid excuse to cripple the games ability to grow.

First: How do you know it is an Endless Journey account?

Second:  No need for an illegal 3rd party client.  With the EC you can write a macro that casts Invisibility over and over again for hours.

So yall can tell if someone is on an EJ account?  Please let us know how.

From my experience they do ban EJ accounts for blocking Recall spots.

If this were an EJ account, it would be banned on the 2nd or third call.

No they do not tell you the results of pages that involve other players.

Get a toon with detect hidden and lore mob to the person once you unhide them. Mana will run out if you unhide them enough.

To those asking how I know he’s using an Endless Journey (EJ) account — I originally saw “Chongchong” with a tag, which is only given to new or EJ accounts.Young

    Now, the behavior

    - No fear of consequences

    - Blatant macroing using An Lor Xen

    - Camping a player’s doorstep without interaction

If this was someone using a 20-year veteran account with real investment, would they be so bold? Highly unlikely. That’s the point.

Then it also shows the system is so lax, someone can spin up a free account, break the rules in plain sight, and nothing happens.

This isn’t just about one offender. It’s about how free access with no enforcement invites bad behaviour — and the rest of us are left dealing with it.

So instead of focusing on whether he’s technically EJ or not, maybe we should all be asking:

Why is there no meaningful GM response?
Why are obvious scripts and harassment ignored?

He must be laughing reading the above. lol.

Detect hidden has a long cool down timer, so I am not sure if this will work.

We all started with young tags.  That is not EJ related.
If it is an EJ account the GM should ban him after a couple of pages for blocking a recall spot.

Report that he is afk skill gaining, they action that more than other things.

To me, you are the problem here, intolerance, think about it, improve yourself.

It is perfectly possible he is a young subscribed player, using EC playing 100% legally - if this is the case - would this change your entire tone? You can change your recall spot.

There is no need for your behaviour.

@Seth. Keep paging on him if still doing it.  Keep an eye on the email associated with the account, you could get an abuse of the page system warning, until then, Keep paging.

When you're in Trammel, I believe detect hidden only works outside your house to reveal characters who are in the same guild or alliance.

Anyone mind sharing how you make an endless macro with EC, considering it’s presumably “legal”? I read several years ago you just muck around the XML of the macro, but I don’t recall it working.

place your house in fel then you don't have to worry about the inaction of the GMs or Devs to solve a problem they're probably never going to deal with... i mean it's only progressively gotten worse over the last ~25 years. or so.

I'm 100% sure people see posts like this (and there's a lot of posts from me, talking about people blatantly cheating) and it emboldens more of them to start cheating... assuming they're not doing it already.    unfortunately it's a vicious circle, and the devs don't seem to be doing anything (like, At all) about it.    there hasn't been a single effective solution that is noticeable by players who actually play the game.

Remove or change casting focus & poison immunity it reduces the need for "Player Skill" it's garbage. rant2 Bring timing back and eliminate chance in pvp!
