ok so let me give u some reason on this.. Atlantic is "the" shard...does anyone want to live there...not really...but we all do lol... most everyone , regardless of your home shard everyone has a house on atlantic...why you ask , well because its just easy...its easy to sell, its easy to buy...its easy to find spawns going, participate in world events and just enjoy content with other people........ on the other hand this causes huge housing problems because were all a bunch of hoarders playing a game with almost 30 years worth of collectables.  i see so many people coming into UO that will never reach the age to claim garden sheds.. i see so many players who will never be able to afford one of the few castles. i also see so many people who really dont want the giant castle they dont even deco , but they need it for storage.... so i have a proposal. how bout a store item, something small , a container  that you can custom like the house teles into like 1 of 5 styles. wooden chest, metal chest, crate...ect theres lots of container choices in uo.  anyway  here is what i want, and it will 100% make the uo store a ton of money... i want a nearly bottomless container  that will hold 125 items and only count as one lockdown.   then if you want to live in a small house you can do it and still collect what ever you want. it wouldnt take away from the vet reward garden shed because it wouldnt hold 250 items and it wouldnt be decorative. it would just be functional.  the garden sheds are nice and all but to really use them as storage you have a ton of sheds setting in a house you cant deco cause you have roofs poking through floors everywhere....  this would help with housing as owning a castle or 18x18 would no longer just be for storage.  people who were just using them for such may decide to downsize and there wouldnt be this cluster Pluck "i said pluck settle down"  over housing.   10$ a box for storage like that and yall are making 1000's in the 1st month alone...... think about it please... i need storage... and i hate stuff poking through my floor!

Atlantic has a major land/housing/storage shortage.

I would agree with you but i think a bank vault revamp would work better as it's already set up. It's just too pricey at it's current 300 sovs per month. That's $30 for 10 months of storage.

Out of the 6000 total vaults available for monthly rental on Atlantic, only 65 are being rented at moment. The numbers show it's just too expensive for what it is. I think a one time fee for a permanent or at least a year would work better.
  • its because no one remembers whats in half their chests at their houses let alone bank boxes lol... these chests would sell better cause the stuff would be in your home. and you could live in a 7x11 comfortably if you wanted to

I agree with you that we need a solotion for housing and storage. But i dont believe you suggestion is the one, not trying to be a jerk, i say this respectfully. We need better housing options, like inn rooms for rent, like caravans, or tents. People dont have a big house because they hoard a lot of trash, they have a big house because they want to save that valuable spot, they have multiple accounts to hold houses, they like big houses because everyone like to have a 'bigger' anything to just show status. its like having a pickup car if just roll in the city, you dont need it. You just want to be bigger and taller and show off, because you can afford it.

Once i said the solution is limiting the number of accounts an IP can have, and control it fiercely. But i was crucified when someone said 'And what about me? i pay 15 accounts just to hold houses and keep my stuff there.I need those houses.' or like 'Bullshit!! They need us to pay for more than 5 accounts so we can support UO or they will shut down...'

Well, anyway we have the problem, we need a solution, but no ones wants the solution.

How about putting some things in the Ultima Store, keep them under 500 sovereigns, from old events or vet rewards that are useful like:
    • Jewelry Boxes
    • First-aid belts
    • Seed boxes
    • Transporters (crystal moonstone, that get you into Islhenar or Eodon (make these a 1,000 if you want)
Don't lock away really useful stuff that everybody could use whether they've played 20 years or 20 months behind 7- or 8-year-old events, or vet rewards that will take years to get. There's a lot of little things that could benefit everybody if they were made available again or made available to a wider audience. And I know there will be people who complain that those players should have been playing 8 years ago between December and January of 2017 or whatever, or they should have accounts that have been paid for X amount of years to get those vet rewards, but those players weren't and there are plenty of vanity vet rewards still around that will tell others how long you've been playing (Koi Ponds or Garden Sheds or Catapults or whatever). Gaining vet rewards are not something you do by grinding away at something in the game, thereby earning some kind of respect from somebody, it simply means you gave X amount of money to EA/Broadsword.

Drop the price on soulstones - 500 makes more sense (or sell fragments or one-offs for 100 per skill). I gave up on trying to craft some soulstones, and instead when I needed to move some skills around with my handful of soulstones, I dumped Focus and Meditation on several characters and replaced them with skills I was moving around, rather than using a vet reward on a soulstone or paying $10 for one.

This is probably controlled by EA since it's on EA.com, but cut the prices on the boosters/expansions (High Seas, ToL, Rustic, Gothic, etc.), cut the prices on the storage expansion and the 7th character slots.

At this point, the only people who haven't bought those are either unable to afford them at those prices, or don't think they are worth it.

I'm in the latter category.  My kids are using 25 year-old old accounts from my wife and a friend that I had kept going long enough to get High Seas on one of them. I'd like HS on the other, and ToL on both, but I'm not paying $55 to make that happen, and would like the storage upgrades as well.
