There's an option "Auto Ignore Corpses" that is enabled by default.
That will cause EC to remember the already opened corpses, so once you open/loot a corpse, it won't show up in the object handles list.
The "object filter", setting name is useful for the shadowguard roof, where the boss corpses can be obscured by other corpses. See this (link) post for a fix to EC to allow a single filter string to catch all roof bosses.

Seriously though, there is a toggle in CC that will auto open corpses while is war mode in CC. Obviously need to be within range to open. There isn't anyway to object filter though.
