My end game Sampire

I wanted to share my modern "end game" Sampire that I have created with new items from the event. It's is my favorite template to play with and I spent a lot of time tweaking and updating it. Love messing around when new items appear. I always try to build best possible setups regardless of the cost. The goal is of course to put as much as it possible and make it as variable as possible.

Version 2024

Highlights:

1) 150 Hit Points, 196 Stamina, 100 Mana.

2) Use Super Slayers from Weapons + Super Slayers from Talismans (Enchantress' Cameo Set). This allows mixing slayer types or stack two of them (to achieve max Damage Modifier without Honor / Enemy Of One). Super Slayer does stack together.

3) Weapons:

Double Axe Super Slayer set with 100% Elemental Damage, Max possible HML, HLL, HSL, Hit Area Spell (use Hit Fire Area with Fire weapon, Cold with Cold etc.) Slayer property does affect Hit Area Spell so you do a lot of damage with this spell, although it only hits surrounding mobs not the one you are targeting.

Bladed Staff Super Slayer set with 100% Elemental Damage (do not need to be Elemental!), Max possible HML, HLL, HSL, Hit Lower Attack.

- A few more specific weapons like Bladed Staff with HML, HLL, HSL, Hit Lighting or Double Axe with HML, HLL, HSL, Spell Channgeling.

4) 30 HLD from Mace and Shield Reading Glasses (Blackthorn equivalent of it to have 5 metal armor pieces for stamina loss reduction).

5) 100 DI on suit (to use weapons without Damage Increase).

6) 35 SSI on suit. (to use weapons without SSI). Last 5 SSI vomes from Cameo Talismans. If you plan to use other Slater Talismans (An Bal Xen / In Corp Mani Xen / Conjurer's Trinket) 5 SSI from City Loyality Town Bonus is required.

7) 45 HCI

8) 45 DCI

9) +95 skill points on gear - this is the most important point of this template.

10) 120 Swordsmanship, 120 Tactics, 120 Anatomy, 120 Bushido, 120 Parrying. 120 Swords and 120 Tactics must be a real skill for using Special Moves (Onslaught is used a lot and 20% resisting is achieved on 240 skill points combined).

11) Rest of the skills are switchable depending on situations:

- 100 Necromancy to 100 Lumberjack

- 85 Resisting Spells to 100 Chivalry (+15 from Gloves)

- 100 Necromancy to 115 Healing (+15 on Leggings).

The most time I run with 100 Necromancy and 85 Resisting Spells.

12) I found that Chivalry is not very needed nowadays. To use Sacred Journey spell I use switchable equipment to add +60 Chivalry skill points (+10 from Luna Lance, +10 from Sign of Order, +20 from ring and +20 from bracelet). I use Enchanted Apples for Remove Course, Trap Box for Paralyze. When Renevant is spawned I consider it as a bonus (extra Life, Mana and Stamina) so I do not need to dispel it.

13) Use Counter Attack a lot! and of course Evasion and Confidence.

14) When using Axes special move Onslaught is used all the time on this build. Armor Ignore when using Bladed Staff.

15) 45 LMC and metal armor provide a heavy bonus to stamina loss reduction. Only 5 best pieces count.

16) Overcapped Stamina (with 35 SSI I need only 150 stamina to swing 3.25 weapons at max speed) and overcapped Strength to prevent loss when under the course. I also have Rose of Trinsic petals in backpack for additional +5 STR when needed (and it last 5 min each). You can keep a few Rose of Trinsic in backpack and gather petals from there. It's never-ending supply.

17) Use Paroxy Dragon for 12% damage reduction or / and Exceptional Dragon Barding on Swamp Dragon for 20%.

A few more details about template:

You can take Tunic of your choice. Balron Bone Armor gives a lot of Stamina, Mana, Strength and Hit Points. But you can also chose piece with Damage Eater or more Regens if you like. Basically Tunic only needs to have 18 Fire Resists and 5 HP - rest are stats of your choice.

You can use Boots of your choice. No requirements here.

- New Azarok's Legplates and Gloves of Holy Warrior adds another +30 skill points to template. It comes very handy when you swap skills to Healing or Chivalry. Basically by changing Necromancy to Healing you can convert it from Sampire to normal Warrior with 115 Healing (and 120 Anatomy).

- New Shadowbane Tabbard comes with 10 HCI and 10 DCI. Imbue weight of those is a lot bigger than 10 SSI which comes from Lord Morphius' Epaulettes. Shadowbane Tabbard also includes 8 LMC. Overall I think it is better piece than Lord Morphius' Epaulettes.

Corrupted Paladin Vambraces are enhanced using agapite ignots and Forged Metal of Artifacts.

What could be improved / changed?

- Remove 10 DCI from Ring or Bracelet, or from both and use Refinements with at last 20 DCI on suit. This can add extra 9-18 skill points on your Ring and Bracelet (Chivalry or Resisting Spells).

- Remove 5 DCI from Sash and use Warlord Sash for 10 Damage Eater

PS.

Post your end game Archer templates (and other templates too). I would love to see some

Here is video how this build works in current Treasures of the Shattered Sanctum event. Not the best run (low spawn due to traffic in Atlantic) but still 22 drops in 11 min. No Potion of Glorious Fortune and only 125 luck on suit. I really enjoy this event on this template, best TOT so far, thanks @Kyronix

I use Plate version of Mace and Shield Reading Glasses here, Conjurer Trinket and 5 SSI Town bonus and lowered STR a bit to have stats like 150 HP, 100 Mana, 199 stamina.

    Hi Amelia,

Thanks for sharing. May I ask why you stop at 85 resisting spells? Is there some specific breakpoint at that level, or do you just feel that’s a good enough amount?

I’ve been thinking of my sampire as:

    Weapon 120
    Tactics 120
    Parrying 120
    Bushido 120
    Resist 120
    Necro 100

Then either as much Anat as possible or maybe 80 chiv.

I’m not as good with Sampires as others. I’ve been playing more defensively and am enjoying the Bushido mastery. Because I already have swords on another character, I was thinking of sticking with mace or fencing, I recognize which are not as good as swords.

I tested Resisting Spells a lot and I think 85 is good middle ground. Of course it would be better to have 100 or 120 Resisting Spells but at current item stage it is not possible to include it without sacrificing other skills. The idea of this template is to have as much damage as possible and to have possibility to swap skills easily (Chivalry and Healing).

120 Anatomy is a must, 120 Swords and Tactics (real skills) works for Onslaught Special Move and Double Strike. 120 Parrying works best for Counter Attack which I also use a lot (combined with Onslaught and Double Strike). 120 Bushido for spells and Whirlwind Attack. This gives 100 to Necromancy and rest to Resisting Spells.

There is always a few questions to ask yourself when going to fight something in UO:
    1. Is it possible to Life Leech from it? If yes take Sampire, if no use Healing + weapon without HLL.
    2. Is there a Slayer type for it? If yes Chivalry is not needed, if no take Chivalry skill on you for Enemy of One and Bushido for Honor.
    3. How high are resists on it? If low use Onslaught + Double Strike (Double Axe), if high use Armor Ignore (Bladed Staff).

In my opinion Swordsmanship Mastery is best choice. Most of the time I use Onslaught Special Move. Also from that Mastery comes 5 HCI, 5 DCI, 5 STR which are part of the template. 20 Mana from Bushido Mastery is nothing special. We used to play Sampires with as low as 65 Mana and it was fine. Now we can have 100 mana from current gear which is a plenty.

With current event you can get 4 pieces that you need for Sampire. Other items are not that expensive, the only real problem is Sentinel's Mempo (150m on ATL), Gloves of Holy Warrior (200m on ATL) and Cameo (200-400m each on ATL). You can use cheaper talismans as alternatives and city bonus for 5 SSI. Conjurer's Trinket, An Bal Xen, Corsair's Insignia.
