The two fold problem

One. the developers are OK with ignoring bug reports based on their feelings about who post them

Two. No one really plays a pure bard anymore because they've been nerfed into the ground 160 barding difficulty non bardable monsters etc yes everyone has a character with a little bard mostly for auto follow with buffs...

Too summerize
Provke still does not properly work on tot/invasion monsters...

Listen, up until 1999 this game was easy mode with 200 skill points, musicianship and provocation. Provocation bards deserve their nerf after a two year reign of dominance 27 years ago. Why don't you go play a template that actually takes real skill, like a sampire?

More like 300 skill points. Enticing nobles was the definition of easy mode.

Enough about the glory days in today's world I've spent 420 real skill points and can't make two  skeletons fight each other it's been broken for years during dungeons tot and invasion

As stated before, provocation is too strong. Those skeletons might take five minutes to kill each other, in the meantime a template that actually requires TIMING, TECHNIQUE and PLAYER BASED SKILLS that only come from gameplay experience could have slain 500 skeletons in that same span of time. Honestly your argument for provocation is so silly I cannot even bother debating it anymore. Sorry your overpowered and completely broken template was nerfed 25 years ago and now you're hoping the devs forgot why it was nerfed to begin with. We as players do not forget.

My provoked monsters help everyone as they are attacking each other rather than that innocent tamer and I like taking 5 minutes to kill it's not a race

I say they should go for it and buff provocation. You guys can provo big piles of mobs together, all slowly chipping away at each other, for me to run by and clean up with one or two whirlwinds.

I'd be happy with just an official acknowledgement that it's broken

Let's not forget that mystic aoe spells don't work on provoked monsters either

To my opinion, since different Templates have different "killing rates", the Events, for balancing purposes, should be Designed to offer different drop rates depending on the Template used to get kills done.

This way, even though a Bard or a Tamer, for example, can kill much slower as compared to a Dexer, they would still get moreless the same amount of Artifacts drops in the same time simply because the kills done by Bards or Tamers would be awarded more points "per kill" as compared to those of a Dexer.

This way, to my viewing, regardless what Template a player was to use to participate in the Event, thanking to such balancing, the Artifacts drop rate would be moreless the same thus leaving UO players free to use the Template that they enjoy playing the most with and not having to use that which is more effective, regardless whether they enjoy playing with it or not.

@Kyronix , what do you think, would such a thing be possible to be implemented for future Events?
