I have an archer and have completed the warrior and the assassin quest chain. When I talk to the person outside of the stable they just tell me "this position can be dangerous and therefor are only looking for the most skilled fighters. Please check back later when you have achieved success"  I don't know why it is telling me this because I have completed the chain for Archer with all 100 skills. I went back around looking for other quests but there are none. The NPC at the moonglow zoo just says how they are awaiting the opportunity to share their insights. How in the world can I get this taming quest chain started?

  • I think.... because I dropped tracking for poisoning. Its not letting me start other quest chains because now it sees I don't have tracking and is registering messaged that I would get from not having my archer quest chain completed first.

You didn't have to put points in Tracking to finish the Rogue template.  It goes away if you would have chosen taming before poison.

Normally you can finish Rogue, add taming, you would have Archery, Anatomy, Healing, Tactics. then add the 3 taming skills.  For 700 points.

    1. Do you have room for 300 more points?

    2. Did you turn poison and focus down and try taming?

Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

I have 700 skill points right now. I moved three skills to the down arrow. The NPC still does not have a quest to offer. Still tells me "this position can be dangerous and therefor are only looking for the most skilled fighters. Please check back later when you have achieved success". I also have another character on this account with swordsmanship template. I also completed the assassin quest chain and thought I would check to see what messages I'm getting on that character. They are the same messages.  My mage had inscription and alchemy and it let me start the taming quest chain and drop scribe/alchy.

Thanks for responding too! It seemed like tracking was required for the rouge quest. I responded to your post but didn't quote it. Maybe still the same issue? For some reason its not registering that i completed the rouge quest chain and therefore not letting me proceed with the taming?

I'd say call a GM and let them look. Maybe they can remove poison and you can get taming.  Not sure how you'd use poison as an archer.

Did you pick up the quest in Moonglow that sends you to the zoo to start the quest line for taming? The building west of the bank has the poster for the bard quest line on it. There is a NPC there that gives the quest to start taming.
