Can't Place Housing in Moonglow Areas

I have tried to place on both side of the mountain. It appears to be full up. One side I get the "Reserved for Guild Houses" msg. Other side says Housing Must be placed near existing houses.

Think player housing is very limited in Moonglow.  Think all that exists is a little at the lower left of the island, and a small amount below and above the entrances to the city.  It’s possible the housing there now is just grandfathered in, but think I have seen maybe one change in the last four years on my shard.

Should give a voucher for placement in the Skara area if Ice is full.  Plenty of room there.

I thought you could pay extra and place in another town, no? Not that you should have to pay extra if you've pledged to a town and want to place.

You can pay 10,000 to the Regitrar of a town and get rights to place. you also may be able to build the rep by running quests from the town board. not sure of that one though

Thanks, VoS. I’ll be doing just that when I build a mage.

The building reputation in a town and the house maintenance quests seem to be broken on one of my characters that already has a house in Trinsic. I’m seriously hoping it’ll be fixed in the next week so I’m not in danger of losing my house.

No idea what the problem is. I GMd in Trin. Placed in Trin. Player info under examination shows my loyalty is to Trinsic. But I can’t seem to do any house maintenance quests and get credit for them.

It’s starting to make me nervous!

Just wanted to ask, because it happened to me, Is the character you are running them on the one that placed the house? i ran into that issue. the only way i can advance that is to use the Character that placed the house.

Yes, I had come across this.  It is the character, not the account.  I wish that could be changed to any character on the account can do the job board in that town to go towards house maintenance.

@Victim_Of_Siege for me what happened was...

My character that GM'd blacksmithing in Trinsic and placed a house demolished that house and my husband transferred a house he'd placed over to me. That's when it all hit the fan.

The house sign shows I own it. My player information regarding Housing Access says Trinsic when I look at that. But when I look at the house sign under Town Loyalty, at first it said unknown. Now it says doubted. That's new! I just saw that now. Maybe that means something has changed and I can get jobs again that will count. I'll try it out again...

But the problem has been that no amount of taking jobs from the boards in Trinsic was going toward house maintenance. Cross your fingers for me!

I think there's a misunderstanding here. Let me clarify.

I have a character that GM'd in Trinsic and placed a house in Trinsic.
That same character demolished that house.
My husband had character the GM'd in Trinsic and placed a house.
He transferred that house to my character that demolished her Trinsic house.

So she's now the owner. But no amount of doing jobs in Trinsic is allowing her to do house maintenance. We thought maybe there was a bug that would allow my husband's character, who originally placed the house to do the maintenance, even though he's no longer the owner. But no, he can't do house maintenance quests either. Which makes sense, because he's no longer the owner.

The bug is that my character who now owns it can't do house maintenance quests either. I just tried again. I was hopeful because the house sign went from Reputation in Trinsic unknown to Reputation doubted. I thought maybe a GM, who I did call and I do have a ticket, was able to fix it.

Last I heard they were bumping the problem up to a tech and they'd get back to me. I hope that happens before I have to move all my stuff out and the house drops.
  • Odd situation indeed. Here's to it getting fixed.

    Thanks! *fingers crossed*

Not gonna lie, it’s making me nervous! I like my little spot and I don’t want to lose it or take it all apart and try to find room to store the contents of the house.

Curious was your Husbands Character also a crafter?

Yes, @Mudge both our characters GM'd blacksmithing in Trinsic.

Well, so much for it possibly being a bug between crafter and combat types

    @LilyGrace

Wonder if you tried job boards in all three towns on both character?  Please understand I'm not suggesting this is something you should do, however maybe to save your house from IDOC?

What does your house sign say you have accomplished toward the house maintenance?  Is it in red text?

Hope this gets fixed for you.

Hi @Kalsey, no, for maintenance I’ve only tried doing the jobs boards in Trinsic, with the character that owns the house.

It’s difficult to be in game and wait to see if a GM will arrive. I’m considering dropping the house and seeing if I can place again. Scary, because I’m not sure if I’d be allowed to place again or not.
