We are pleased to announce that Publish 118.1 will be coming to Test Center 1! We anticipate updating Test Center 1 tomorrow, October 17th.
Publish 118.1 includes the first phase of Echoes of the Blighted Realm: Shadow’s Awakening. Also included are new pirate flags in the Black Market, new skulls and Halloween masks and rare colors of the nightmare! Check out the full publish notes here.
We are targeting later this month for a world wide release of Publish 118.1 and look forward to your feedback!
The spawn time on the Grimm pumpkins is WAY TOO LOW. I cleared a field of all the pumpkins and wheat, kept it clear and it was well over 15 mins before the next one spawned. With all the competition to get the masks, plus this is an already popular event, the spawn rate should be bumped up and, IMO, it should absolutely be tied to the other pumpkins spawning so people don't just pop in and out.
Otherwise ... very happy with the publish so far.

The new Shadow Hound unfortunately falls into “more of the same” category. Some pack-use potential but otherwise outclassed before introduction.
It need not be the next uber pet, but I do believe a new tameable (or any asset) should offer something unique and powerful enough to warrant use in modern day UO. As-is currently configured, it will be another collector pet at most. Tamed and put away.
We have many tameables, but again, realistically how many do we see in use? There is a reason for that. I’m trying to avoid speaking for other players, but this is not a viable pet for a largely veteran tamer playerbase that consistently leans toward higher difficulty and end game content.
So, my feedback and preference is to avoid contributing more to the 95%+ of unused tameables. Deco for houses…not stables.
Maybe it's garbage for your templates. But I can see multiple instances where this would be useful to players. It's not for a primary mage or pvp mage.

3-4. Did you test this at all? I've done multiple boss encounters the past few days. Shadow hounds have spawned each time. On the very first kill I managed to grab 5 of them and stopped due to no stable room. I saw an additional 8 others spawn on that kill. Every other kill had multiple spawn.
5. Again did you test this at all before posting and/or lore this animal first? It already starts are 1 slot with Canine instinct. It has better stats than a 1 slot beetle. It's close to that of a one slot wolf spider with twice the physical resist. That means it has more stam, more str, more dex and more resists than that of a 1 slot beetle. I would be okay if it went to 5 slots, it's not a magical creature so it could not get magics. However as it starts off as a 1 slot pack instinct animal I would have to say no on innate healing and poison spit. In fact healing should not be put on a lot of creatures going forward.
