More is needed than just a "War" on third party applications.

When I play a game with other players I have an expectation that everyone is playing with the same tools and access to information and opportunity.

So I celebrate decisions where players cannot access tools outside of the ones needed to play the game, but I don't think that's the only problem holding UO back.

I think the clique style of surrounding the development team and leadership with a select group of people also creates an uneven playing field that is not necessary.

Unfortunately we've come to a point in the game where a high percent of people are scripting and using programs especially the PvP years probably 80 to 90% of the PPPers which is probably about 95 to be honest with you you script for auto heal auto attack cast spells you know all this other stuff and they're illegal programs and it's just got out of hand and the people who don't cheat have really just quit the game because they don't want to deal with them
And when you let two 3,000 pain PVP piers who scrib and she stay in the game you lose 50,000 pain people who don't cheat. The guy who does the forms and play keep your keep your your conspiracies theories to yourself. No it's not a conspiracy theory when when the game used to have 1 million players remember that 1 million players and now we're down to you know 20 to 30,000 paid accounts and a lot of people have three to five accounts so we're always talking 10 or 15,000 real players. And not all the people who script like I said they're probably three to 5,000 the script that's still 1/3 of the game if not more The cheats. If you been 33% of your pain population right now when it's this low that's bad they should have done that 10 years ago when the population was still 150 you can live off 100,000 subscribers when you ban $50,000 but you can't live off Bannon you know 5,000 out of 15,000. They waited too long and the damage is just I would say irreversible they would need a huge huge increase in population. And they should have done this many many years ago 10 12 years ago and it's out of hand now and so they can ban them but it would just kill the game faster. And I don't think they would ever recover from something like that. When they had you know $150,000 subscribers they didn't want to do that they didn't want to lose 50,000 so you know when you were here 15,000 you really can't lose five. But it's all about making money but in this game I don't know it's all about who you know who's your friends

Some people say, there are more players in Trammel.
Some people say, there are more pvmers, than pvpers.

How would the game of Trammel pvmers, be affected in the slightest by a minority that pvp in Felucca?

Sometimes, it feels like people are just making excuses.

I have never said pvp fixes should impact pvm, or vice versa, most of my concepts do not affect both, unless they need to affect both.

The response I replied to was not about fixes, or templates.

It was about scripts. How can scripts used by a minority, specifically on another minority, affect a majority who are completely else where in the game - and playing completely different content?

What is it they are not saying?

I have the feeling in 2024 even the PvErs are for the majority using scripts.. on my shard u see the same name everyday doing sus stuff.. like heartwood quests 16 hours per day not talking moving on the same pixel with timed stuff.. the CU zone same three name.. only one of them seems human the other two look to be scripted alt supporting him..

The third party is at this point.. Personally i'm a dumb ass still crafting potion and looting manually.. still hvn't reinstalled UOassist cuz only the tamer is not semi naked ^^

I can agree tho it's kinda hypocritical letting thing goes that bad considering the propostion/alternative (EC+pinco or CC+uoassist+uomap)

Let's be real tho.. your favorite third party gonna be updated if it's not already.. it's only PR.. wich, at best, can send a message to some new players.

If they were serious they would have send the wave of temporary ban already
So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?

I agree, this is sort of my point.
They keep on blaming, and focussing on the pvpers.
When this issue is right through the entire game.
People need to get a bit realistic here.
Some players are using this as a pvper bashing exercise, and failing to see it is in the whole game.

They're charging money for one of the worst versions of UO out there. They're lucky to still be in business as it is. I suspect I'll be fine.

Damn straight they do.  Don't forget all the PvP Tamer fixes they did and said it would NOT overflow into PvM Taming, that was a load of BS.
