Opening of the Grand Britannian Repertory Library - Athenaeum Annex - March 9th at 9:00PM EST

After 15 years and thousands of community book donations, The Grand Britannian Repertory has finally completed the creation of a second player written book library, housing works donated and created from 2010 onward. This project has taken over a year and over a thousand hours of hard work to finally bring to fruition.

Named after the original grand library created by Richard Ebonrune of MTC, the Athenaeum Annex is constructed from the ground up to focus entirely on books. This building houses some of the rarest tomes in the realms, alongside over 1500 player written books, bringing the total number of books in the Repertory collection to 3000.

Some features of the new library include:
  • The largest collection of Books of Lore in the game, with over 36 books and counting.
  • Collections from every global event spanning 2010 to present.
  • Every EM event book scattered across the lands, we combed every inch of every map on Atlantic to bring them to you in a single section, including the most complete collection of EM Bennu's works in the realms.
  • EM Petrichor's Little Adventurer's Library that once resided beside the Britain counselors guild has been resurrected from a copy made before its demise, and now has its own shelf in the new Annex.
  • 1500 player written books with nothing held back. We've brought you the forbidden texts of The Order of the Ebon Skull to the secret governmental processes of The Regency and The Protectorate.
  • Unprecedented organization and presentation. We've spent thousands of natural dyes to color code every book, alphabetize every tome, and place them in clean, organized shelving that works with both normal and large container gumps.
The grand opening event on March 9th at 9:00PM EST will include 1 plat in prizes, and includes a book hunt and raffle. We hope to see you there!

The Athenaeum Annex is located across from Goodman's Rune Library, just outside of Zento's north eastern gate.

Special thanks goes to everyone who has donated books to the Repertory mailbox since 2008, and continued to donate throughout the decades. A huge thank you to Andrasta, Bennu, Dryzzid, Athelas, Ceinwyn, Isk, Zahndra, Cear, Molly, Bellrick, Beleth, Rune Artisem, Sunwolf, Sadie, Cinderella, Archnight, and everyone else who helped me acquire books and provided guidance and assistance in building my dream.

By popular demand, we've backported the new organizational scheme of the Athenaeum Annex, to the original Repertory building. All the shelves and books are organized significantly more efficiently in the original building now as well. No more duplicate books, sloppy alignment, and non-alphabetized shelving!

If you haven't had a chance yet, please visit both buildings, as they have completely different books in each.
