Perhaps you should add to the description on how to use the vendors that anything you put on the vendor (paperdoll customisation) IS NOT returned at the end of the lease. 
The vendor goes *poof* along with the clothes you gave him...…

Just lost more gold in that one fancypants robe I gave him to wear than the entire stall made.
Not one mention anywhere that the vendor steals your items.

    Nope, they're gone. 
    Not in the "storage" box with items from vendors inventory,
    Not with the Warehouse superintendent,
    Not on the pop-up gump where you can reclaim gold,
    Not in bank box,
    Not on signpost, gone....
