    Years ago, I saw a sign in front of a friend of mine. I asked him about the sign. He won the Halloween deco contest on Sonoma and said that he was told that he had to keep the house the same design or the sign would be removed. His house was the same until it fell, but the sign was there until sometime last fall. I asked him about it recently, but he doesn't have very good memory. 

    So, I'm wondering if that might make a difference now. Does it still have to remain the same as it was in the contest? And if that is the case, then the next time there is a contest like this, then it should be stated at the beginning.

    We were never told that it had to remain the same.

    Mine is because that's how I deco lol

    But we never did get our prizes. 

    I did notice that they stopped doing contests and started asking questions instead. I am glad because contests are never fair, it's all about who has the most friends/accounts to vote with.

    The questions promote conversation which I like.

    Mine's the same. I've been doing other deco here and there and I thought it made sense to leave it until the sign was placed and perhaps for a bit after as well. But I've never seen anything saying it had to stay with that same deco.

    I hope not! I like to decorate that same house for other holidays as well, if I've the time and the spirit moves me.

    It's just damned peculiar to leave this hanging like this. A real head scratcher.
