Well, I would imagine, that the one that matters is not the Wand of Warding or the Lantern as "destination" item but, rather, whichever item one started the Transmogrification "from"....

If the originating item was not Shard Bound then, it would make sense that the transmogrified Wand of Warding or Lantern is not Shard Bound as well...

If, instead, the originating item IS a Shard Bound item well, then, I am expecting both the Transmogrified Wand of Warding and Lantern to DO come up as Shard Bound....

@Kyronix , does it work this way ?

Did anyone try to start from a Shard Bound item and transmogrify it into a Wand of Warding or Lantern ? The resulting Transmogrified item becomes also Shard Bound and I would think it would do ?

There is one on the hythloth rewards vendor, has SDI5.  Doesn't look like a shield, and is a bit underwhelming compared to say the vesper museum chaos shield.  (So I likely won't get one).

I would think like a mask of wildfire that if you transmog that it would retain the shard bound ans as its offered as an alternative to a shield i doubt anyone would

i wish wildfire lantern had 10 SDI, then it could replace hooks shield.

I think they want us to get lantern then buy the potion to transmog it so the make money sounds like a slight shift from we will never be pay to win to we will pay to look different
