Pet not following thru gate pet ball not working

If you look at this link, you can see my char and her pet's health bars, she carries two pet balls both are linked to the blue frost dragon in the picture. Please note that we were doing champ spawns with a stop in brit before the main event to kill the Boss. The pet did not follow to brit nor would the pet ball call the pet to brit, it was stuck at the last champ spawn, I had to log out and log back in, I was lucky to get the pet back and we both went in the gate for the finally part (fight the boss).
