Newb Returning Player Question

Quick disclaimer, I just recently got an account returned, so I am a total newb considering the last time I played was AoS 2001-2004 time frame.

Is the following template still viable, do you still use magic resist skill?

120 Wrestling
120 Mage
120 Eval
120 Med
120 Resist
100 Inscribe

If you play a pure mage it looks great to me.  If you do mostly pvm you might consider swapping out wrestling for spell weaving.  Generally a mage needs magic resist.  You will be fighting a lot of other spell casters.  Also, get the mage mastery at your level you will love the death ray and mana recharge.

Get some Focus on your template as well.  It helps with passive mana regen. With 100 Focus I can maintain Death Ray for a lot longer than I can if I had no Focus.
