Saving Journals

In EC turning the option on in User Settings doesn't seem to actually generate a journal file anywhere. What else is necessary?

the file you are looking for is called chat.log and is found here: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Stygian Abyss\logs
