Converting a FULL Classic Castle to A Modern Castle What Happens To Items

Can I just convert my old castle to a modern one that’s completely full ? 
I removed all deeds and stone items should I empty the castle completely?

No. Some people advise moving everything off the lower floor to avoid possible problems with the difference in height due to the base, that is much easier to do now we have the 'relocate container' option, though do be careful to lock them all down again! I'm not sure it's needed, but it's a precaution I took myself, just in case. Everything on the upper floor and roof I left in place.
