Talismans from banking fletching bods and how to use the

So recently used my pts. to get a Woodsman Yew talisman,  doesn't seem to be working.  How does one use this item?  Any info is appreciated.

Talismans give bonus logs when chopping the correct log type. They work best when used in conjunction with lumberjack maps.
