so l love everything do far.
but you broke something as well
only the beacons use cannons.
well i admit not being fired upon by pirate ships no matter what i do to them is 
handy but awful boring
i also miss the pirates and the merchent ships going after each other was rather fun to watch
them scuttle each other

Pirate ships still fire on you, they have on me, unless that is new as of yesterday evening, I took damage from a orc ship while trying to move around it in search of a beacon or merchant last night
