Help needed: "Recharging" Teleporters - Can we get the old charging back? - Or another fix?

I am owner of the public hub at Britain moongate on Siege.
127 house currently linked. - 60 of the tiles are chargable ones.

Before the pub people could recharge their teletiles themself by dropping gate scrolls on them.
After the patch you need to use the context menue for recharging.
Even that the security is set to public on all tiles, ....

... the option is greyed out for not friended people to recharge them.

In CC the recharge works even if its greyed out.
In EC it does not.

Can any of the devs please fix it. - Would be a horror for me to recharge every teletile myself now.
