Adding A Signature

Do we have a set up guide for adding a signature? 

I thought my signature was working but apparently no one else could see it, they only seen a grey minus sign.

can do it there but not in signature settings, going out my wits end

I can see it now.  The smurf is blacked out though.  Not sure if that was intentional.
