Will Jpn NL get the Shattering at the same time as NL?

JPN New Legacy launched in April 2025, but will the shattering occur in April 2026?

Or will it be shattered at the same time as the North American New Legacy, in October 2025?

If JPN New Legacy is also going to be shattered in October 2025, I’m very shocked, as I had assumed we’d be able to play for a full year.

Also I’d like to ask that this information be announced officially in the News section, not just on the forums.

Thank you for the clarification.

I understand now that JPN New Legacy will be shattered at the same time as the North American New Legacy. In other words, as stated in the FAQ, "Shattering will begin in the late summer of 2025 and conclude in October of 2025."

I assume this is due to limited development resources and the desire to synchronize Season 2 and related patches across regions.

That said, JPN New Legacy only launched in April and is currently in its second month. The second phase of the Congiarium has just ended, and the fourth stage—where Vanquishing and Invulnerability items appear—is expected to conclude in late September.

Especially with Pub 120 launching soon, many players are likely to return to the regular shards, which may slow the progression of the Congiarium.

Additionally, for players who are participating primarily to obtain specific pets or items, the shortened timeline significantly reduces their chances of achieving those goals, which can be discouraging.

Requests:

• I’ve been sharing this information through my own wiki and in Japanese UO Discord communities,  but please consider making an official announcement on the patch screen and the website to clearly communicate that JPN NL shattering will begin at the same time as the NA NL shard. Some players expected a full year of play, and finding out suddenly that the shard will end sooner could lead to a loss of trust in the development team and affect motivation to continue playing.

• At the time of the Shattering event, please consider addressing the disparity in equipment and pet progression between JPN NL and NA NL. As the level of gear and pets differs significantly, the difficulty of the Shattering may be affected. It would be helpful to ease requirements—for example, reducing Congiarium point thresholds, shortening Congiarium restart periods, or increasing points from legendary enemies and bloodline coins - so players on JPN NL can face the Shattering under similar conditions as those on NA NL.

• It would be greatly appreciated if you could consider adjustments to drop rates - such as for lures or heirloom - to help maintain player motivation and ensure a rewarding experience despite the limited time.
