Parrying balance and Divergent path
in New Legacy
Hello dear developers!
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your attention to this issue!
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the game there is a whole category of shields (off hands) with a spell channeling property that cannot be used as a shield by mages due to the need for a higher dexterity value.
I/we need some understanding of the balance and ideas around mage shield usage, was that your intention or not? If the global concept of magicians was not intended to use shields and parrying, please voice this.
The first and simplest, but not necessarily balanced solution would be to simply remove the parry coefficient from 10 to 80 dexterity and make it equal to 1 at 10 dexterity.
The second option is to make the divergent path more customizable, let's say we have the presets of the mage, archer and warrior with their characteristics, but the divergent should not be tied to core skills, on the divergent path we should have the ability to lower any skills and redistribute them as we want. Let the narrative paths remain with the idea of core skills. But the divergent should be special in something, let it be his thing. So that we could, for example, create mages with parrying on the basis of a divergent warrior without tactics.Such a character will have enough dexterity to use healing or parrying. This will increase the popularity of the mage as a separate class and make it competitive in pvp.
The third option is to simply remove the idea of core skills so that mages who want to play with healing or parrying could start a warrior narrative, and at the end could change all skills to become a hybrid mage, otherwise you lose a whole skill and will clearly be less competitive against other classes.
P.S.Overall the mage needs more detail and attention, I am preparing suggestions to improve this class, but for now many things are still being tested, but I will definitely report my feedback and ideas in a future post.
