Its all good mage item but...
Wheres the Casting Focus property?
Of all the mage items that were added the past few years, none of them have CF.
Seems the Casting Focus property is the forgotten property of Mages.
Theres a hint for new mage items right there

As a PvPer, I 100% do not want it, it actually gets in my way.
Whilst I know it was created with the best of intentions, to help mages when they fizzle a spell, and it then allows a recast - the whole timing of this process is too long as a mage for me, and in fact disturbs my own casting process.
Once I am aware of a fizzle - I have already reacted to correct it.
Then if Casting Focus comes in with it's own belated correction, it messes up what I am trying to do. So it actually causes me double the pain, and time wastage. The only way Casting Focus could become useful, was if the Fizzle did not happen in the first place - and it actually allowed the spell straight through.
So basically, the mechanics of Casting Focus currently, make it a Negative in mage gameplay.
In PvM - you cannot stack up enough SDI, ever, although many recent rewards over the years, have really helped a lot in this area.
None of my mages currently are able to build Luck in as pvmers, my tamers do, because they are not collecting SDI, or any survival properties.
On my PvP mages...
If you are Parry - Mana is a huge problem.
If you are not Parry - survival is a huge problem. Fitting in Eaters is where we fall short, or Mana Regeneration, Strength is 100% required for 150HP, But even some SSI, and HCI can be required for Wrestle special moves, and these are also hard to get - ie, Mages getting some Warrior properties is hard, whereas warriors getting too many mage properties is never hard it seems...
And another area for PvP Mages.
Studded Armour.
The recent Deathwardens Greaves were amazing, but guess what - we really could have used a Studded Leather armour version for PvP Mages (and the same for all current event rewards). Because these are non-medable, and then able to be refined, which is what a lot of PvPers do today. Mages are also trying to boost up their Fire Resistance the same as warriors are able to. In the same way you have given options to the Warriors, with different types of armour, because of Refinement purposes, Mages want the same.
