Need fix for lag in cities

    most of these threads seem to just get hijacked with name calling and rivalries its a bit boring now. Can we just stick to the point?

    Just went to Atlantic.

    Trammel is rammed with players, and tons of archers/throwers just sat there, prob helping cause the lag. The lag is very bad, but I can't help thinking those players could sort out their own problems.

    Then I went to Solen Hives, tons of mobs, they were empty of players, no lag.

    Then I went to Felucca. tons of mobs, surprising amount of players, all focused on the event, even when Trinsic went orange for VvV. There was little lag, very playable. I stayed in Felucca, because it was so nice, and so easy, even for a player playing from across the Atlantic.

    There are 2 other options for Atlantic players, yes 1 is very laggy. But I am able to farm fine.

    The corpses are not staying in Trinsic, and I understand them wanting less lag. Hitting those archers with the No Damage Debuff, would probably help.

    Considering the amount of automation on Atlantic, and the numbers of automated Trammies, you have to look at Atlantic and say, this really is not how the game should be played. They would be better off not having the event in Trammel and just having it in Felucca. Currently, in Nujelm Felucca, I'm the only player here, no lag, all spawn to myself, too easy. If bots, or stacks of archers tried to just sit here, they could be killed off.

    So my solution for Atlantic, remove Invasion spawn from Trammel, Hives, and Town, put them both in Felucca.

    We all know what is causing the issue on Atlantic.  There’s been 2 or 3 “fixes” for them now, and guess what, they’re still posting threads about lag.

    The client fix that resolved their lag issue lasted 2(?) days.

    In short, there isn’t a reason to keep posting these here.  We’ve had 20 lag threads 20 bot threads and everything in between.

    I do empathize with them, but at some point they are responsible for some of their own gameplay.
    That or just wait until they can ban the same client or reduce the number of clients you can use down to one or two on the same shard.

    yup pretty much, thats what you get if everyone piles onto one server as well, it has advantages and disadvantages

    And they refuse to play in fel or the Solen hive.  The devs know the numbers of who plays where.

    People pay money for this game, they're going to play on a shard that has other people on it, and they're going to expect it to basically work right. If that bothers you, nobody is forcing you to click on the threads.

    Now why don't the lot of you get off this forum and go make a pile of your paltry belongings? If you're fortunate an Atlantican on a shard shield tour may happen by and purchase them with his pocket change. We always need more junk to give away to newbies and ghost shard refugees.

    Sure seems like most posters don't play on Atlantic or this issue is just 2 Atlantic players who refuse to use fel or Solen hives.

    You do realise, to the rest of us, Atlantic is like Detroit City - the poorest place in America?

    The elite leave there as soon as we can.
    We play in places like Silicon Valley - Europa.

    It took an elite (me), 5 minutes to come in, and solve your problems, and find it all a bit too easy.

    VS on Atlantic is working great right now.  I can search using a ton of mods.

    VS was pretty bad last night.  I was able to find the things I was searching for then, today.

    I was searching for jewel with 10SSI 15 HCI 20 LRC  Last night I could not reliably use those 3 things,  Today I was able to add other properties and get results fast.  But, they are all Antique.
    I was able to add SDI and Dex 8 to those 3 and get results today.
    No Skill was in the search.

    Now it has gotten slower.

    I am on Atlantic you Moron.  I know how to use VS.

    Every time I tell you it is working you make some excuse, last time it was FC or something.  Why don't you email the devs with your vast knowledge of what works or doesn't work.  But you would have to log in for that.

    Every time you say that it's working, I log on, input a simple search, and have it time out. Every. Single. Time. The way you excitedly post every time you manage to find a particular combination of properties that will actually go through isn't helping anything. Your demented bootlicking is not a substitute for a working product.

    I'm soooo lucky.  lol  I just hit the right combos.  Too bad no one will tell the devs what those combos are so they can investigate.  You'd rather complain tho.

    I finished all I wanted to look for.  Right now the population has doubled since I posted to try now.  I would not recommend doing a complex search atm.

It's because you think major game systems being badly degraded for months/years at a time with no fix in sight is something customers should just quietly accept.

    I tried just now,  took too long 5 times.
    The devs need specific info.  They probably go search for an item.  It works, they go get coffee and move to something else.

    @kyronix ; Moist of the time on Atlantic you can not get results in time for a search for Ring or Bracelet using these three things.  SSI 10  20LRC  HCI 10

    The items exist but the search times out.

    I think you embellished that a bit.  I won’t speak for everyone but reporting an issue is fine.  Reporting an issue twice, also fine.  three times?  Okay, maybe.

    Reporting the same issue more than that while also spectacularly shitting on the rest of the player base?  Not fine.
