I get the idea, but

I have purchased over 20 chromatic totems so far on EA site and I feel like the amount of money I paid was not in line with what the item is suppose to do. I get that the mares are rare and hard to get, but if you offer something that increases my chance and I do not get that item with the money I paid, which is a 2 slot Demonic, then I'm am not getting what I paid for.  When you pay money you usually get something in return. Please increase the spawn rate of Demonic mares, it seems very low. After 20 totems I expected to have 2 demonic. I get the idea that it is a 'chance but hey the odds go up as you buy more right ?

Buying things in games supports the game you like to play and also keeps the player buying, But if that item is sort of like buy this item at a 'chance to get something rare, but it's very rare to get it even with the item that increases the chance of that', that's not a good model. In other games they have rare items that were only available for a limited time, such as a mount and there are not many of them that you see around. Or items that are only available for a certain quantity. This keeps them rare.

i wonder if these would fall under gambling laws, similar to loot boxes which many countries have banned or regulated, like requiring probability disclosures.
  • Well, another 5 totems today and got 1 red which was slot 3 and a dozen metallic again on top of the 20 totems I already did, No its not gambling because you do get rare colors, but what it is tho is soaking the players out of a reasonable amount of money to get a Demonic 2 slot.

Can we stop with the clickbait titles to threads?

It is absolutely akin to gambling to buy these totems to increase your chances at special hued mares. What do the two slots sell for? You may be better off trading sanctum rewards for one.
