Are they going to allow pets to do more than 1/2 damage at ToTs? So I can finally play my tamer during events instead of only Sampires getting drops like every other ToT event.

They ought to. Like c'mon devs, just either balance the game or don't. Alternate rules for events are dumb, you already control the game, just make it whatever it's supposed to be and then let us play it with some consistency.
What is the fun in a game where we are not allowed to use skills and abilities?
The challenge for the Dev is to create gaming events and challenges players using 100% of our abilities regardless if it is sampire, mage, tamer, bard whatever. Nerfing or blocking a particular ability is simply a lazy game mechanism because you cannot think of better ideas.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ESRB warning: Some Blood. LOTS of Alcohol. Some Violence. LOTS of Bugs
The fact that you couldn't Leech/Drain Life from Treasures
Paragons, is what breathed life into templates that were previously
extinct, like Warriors with Healing skill. With the revival of these
Healing templates (especially Macers), they've been introducing
Artifacts that benefit these templates, such as Gloves of the Holy
Warrior (which are even anti-Sampire with -30 Necro), Divine Sanctifier,
Bulwark of Light, Azarok's Legplates, etc.
So
bringing back Sampires to the "Treasures of " Events, when Sampires
already dominate most every other PvM encounter, is puzzling. Especially
considering this particular event doesn't even have really nasty
Paragons. The Skeletal Drake Paragons are a definite step down from the
Skeletal Dragon Paragons, Drakes don't have Necro so won't be insta
killing people with Blood Oath.

If they want to breathe life into those templates then they need to just buff those templates, period. Adding a few limited-time artifacts that benefit them and nerfing some other templates at specific events are a shabby substitute for actual game balance.
Decouple necro from chiv by having necro forms deliver continuous karma drain, or by having chiv spells damage necro forms the way garlic spells damage vampires, or something. Then buff chiv melee (but not ranged) by giving it a new way to reduce incoming damage, I don't know, make something up.
I think they're too worried about making people mad to do stuff like that though, so instead we get these feeble gestures that are just irritating in their inconsistency.
No othe form allows you be mounted it's an broken abomination the developers are to afraid to fix
Dumb inconvenient nerf that wouldn't even do anything you care about. Sampires are not a mobility-based build. Whether I'm whirlwinding a huge crowd of crap or focusing a single boss, the last thing I want to do is move around a lot. I need to stick to the target so I can keep leeching.

Most of the new bosses dismount constantly. Even the orc in NL. So, usually you dont have a ride. And someone smart needs to verify a swampy reduces damage taken. My tests say no. @Violet
I don't typically bother with a swampy, if I die I want to be able to jump back into action immediately. Plus someone I consider knowledgeable told me they reduce outgoing damage along with incoming.

The HP returned should also reduce as Chivalry is inceased.
