So many repeat rewards

I'm counting, what, 9 repeats??? 
  1. Bandage belt
  2. Ankh
  3. Conj trink
  4. Paladin vamb
  5. Archlich robe
  6. Gloves archlich
  7. Solaria's earrings
  8. Lethe (upgrade cause tabard)
  9. Morphius (upgrade cause tabard)
For reference, "treasures of the feudal lands" had 2? repeats:
  1. Mushroom half apron
  2. Conj trink

    The rewards are spot on, and the event looks great.

    I especially like the rogue inclusion, perfect.
    and the treasure hunter inclusion has been great also.


    this event needs to go on a long time!

    They should bring them all back, everytime.. at least the theme gated content would make sense.. u cannot catch'em all.. see you in 3 months  :|
    So rather than recognise the effort the botters went to, to set all that up - for the benefit of the players, to help get certain items, something you could never be bothered to do, you would rather drag people backwards to your neanderthal world?

    Judging from past events, it seemed as if the fall/winter was more for new items and the spring was geared more for repeats. I guess I was wrong. We're in the era where we'll get higher and higher ratios of repeat:new reward.

    Remember: we are IN an event RIGHT NOW with a bunch of new items (gear items); in the past we had either a champ with a single item or a “gather x” event for tons of deco that came before the “treasures of…” event.  

    Between this event and the next, the amount of new gear items seems appropriate, and the amount of deco huge.  Remember this is an event series.

    i am personally happy to see some fan favourites come back: keeps the market low and competitive and accessible to all the new / returning players popping up with the NL launch.

    See, I think this was handled perfectly: Shrouded Sails they released the Fortune's Visage and that's BIS luck gear at 290 enhanced. Release a similar item but give people a choice: new one, same slot, similar stats, but slightly different to make a choice and not tank the price of the old one. Still mage armor so casters can use it. It's not like it's hard to make up some LRC on other pieces either these days. You'd be a fool at this point to be holding on to a Wildfire Mask, personally, I'd just use a Fortune Visage and sell any Wildfire Masks. They cost 10x-20x more depending on the server.

    The Fortune Visage / Wildfire Mask is A+ example of doing a 'repeat' reward but not a repeat reward, if you get me.

    Likewise, with the "Corrupted Paladin Vambraces" they could have released a version with luck but less/different stats. Weren't around for the Corrupted Paladin Vambraces? Well, they may return eventually, but in the mean time here's something effectively the same:

    Lucky Vambraces:
    Str 7
    Dex 7
    Hp 7
    Stam 7
    LMC 7
    Luck 250
    Mage Armor
    (I don't know, whatever)

    Again, not opposed to "repeats", but give us more choice instead of the same thing.
    All sampire suits I see these days are cookie cutter. Very boring.
    We've also gotten very few luck items for sampires. Very boring.
    Let us have a decision to lower our tanking ability in favor of some Luck, or other stats. Let me do some whacky sampire builds.

    Btw I only play sampires, not biased, but I don't play tamer/casters, so my examples will likely only be sampires

  • Not a word in this thread about how cutting the reward costs by 90% and making them impossible to sell will somehow lead to increased farming? I really have made the world a better place.

    Would much rather get repeats than having a bunch of pure FOMO inducing content. There's a bunch of new things here and a bunch of old things. Some of the old things are new again like the tabard version of the epaulets. I think it's good all around.

    I'm happy with the rewards as well. Single vambraces was going for 400mil to 500mil on VS. The items list is great for this event.

    I have said it before, Ill say it again. Put all the items on an in-game vendor that the only way to get the items is to buy with gold. Prevents repeat items, unless they wanted too, and acts as a gold sink. They set the price at something that can de-incentivize scripting / botting of the rewards.

    I would also not have an issue with every event they re-released the "hot" items like they did this time. Unless you play on Atlantic, finding almost any item on that list is very difficult if not impossible.

    Ya. During these events I play HARD trying to get the items I "may" need if I make a character or decide I want to change up something in the future. This is all due to the FOMO mentality. Trying to find anything from the last event, especially on less populated (scripted) shards is basically impossible.

    Also, Treasures of the Archlich was in 2022. That's 2 years of having a super item that was huge in value. While I play Cats, the last set I saw for sale yesterday was asking something like 500 million gold. If they pause them again for a year plus, enough will also be lost to people closing accounts, etc to keep people wanting them.

    Did you count the total number of rewards?  As far as I can tell from the list these aren't instead of new rewards, they're in addition to them. I don't think I've ever seen that many rewards before.
