Hail Adventurers! 

The Wyvern’s Lair is an extension of my YouTube channel gaming community in Ultima Online. We're planning to play exclusively as a guild on this season of NL and all future seasons. Many of us are discovering Ultima Online for the first time and a few of us are veterans or returning veterans of UO. 

We're aiming to sample it all in NL: PvM and PvP/VvV, so there should be something for almost all players to enjoy gaming with us.  

We’re all adults, and we all lead busy adult lives. Gaming with us should never feel like another job. We’re a fun first group of players, and we’re looking for like-minded players to join us in NL. ^_^

    Poison Ivy entered the Lair as an Outlander and a humble Squire, but her courage, strength, and daring deeds have set her apart. Recorded virtuous deeds include:

    - Her clearing the way to the dread Manticore den several times

    - Her providing several bonded pets for the Knights of the Lair

    - Her always being ready to help guild members

    - Her always cheerful and winning attitude when gaming with the Lair.

    Today, she stands before us not as a mere adventurer, but as a true champion.

    From this moment forward, Poison Ivy is a full member of the guild, entrusted with shaping the destiny of The Wyvern’s Lair on the New Legacy shard of Ultima Online.

    I have played UO since day one! Yes, I was there when Lord Brittish got fireballed in the face, hahah. I went on to make Chesapeake my shard and then I took a break due to life stuff. Fast forward about 8 years, could not retrieve my old account and started over on Atlantic.

    Been there ever since, although I do have characters on Chesapeake. I love taming, because I love animals; real or imagined. I also do a lot of T-maps! I like it when there are seasonal events and shards have events; I like the collectibles of course! Shiny = MINE! MINE! (As Grubber would say).

    I happened across DM Wyvern on YouTube one day as I was searching for videos about the latest goings-on. I watched some of his other videos of other games as well and just thought, "This dude seems cool." So I started to bug him via messages on Facebook and YouTube, and here I am in the game spamming for days, "WHERE ARE YOU, DM WYVERN!?"

    He took me and my hubby in, and we are happy with the guild. Everyone is great, and I look forward to the road ahead!

    I've been adventuring in UO for perhaps 10 years on and off.  My much better half, Poison Ivy, played since it first launched and it was she that got me to play UO and for that matter MMORPGS in general, as before I met her I was a solo console gamer and TT player only.


    My favorite thing about the game is the versatility of the open-world sandbox gaming structure.  As a life-long Table-Topper I often find the modern MMOs to be far too structured and restricted, but UO being very old has a more traditional RPG design structure where you can do more.  You get out of it what you put into it.

    With complete honesty, it was Ivy saying to me she'd met TWL while playing, but upon meeting the guild I was excited by the old school gaming experience on display.  Not to disrespect younger gamers because the hobby survives in generations and the young gamer of today is the crusty grognard of tomorrow, just to say that as a crusty grognard it's nice to have a few people around that get the esoteric references to old game stuff.
