Is there a way to increase recipe chances for Heartwood crafting quests?

My bowyer has been spending a lot of time in Heartwood lately.  His skill is in low 90s, and he can still gain skill from crafting crossbows, heavy crossbows, and repeating crossbows.  So those are the quests he chooses, ignoring the other three which offer 0 chance of skill gain.  But he keeps getting the same few recipes over and over.   I'm wondering his chance of getting rarer recipes would be higher if he went ahead and did all the quests, including 10 bolts and a lap harp (?).

I'm not saying he is wasting his time.  A few days ago he got a Yew Runic Fletching Tool, and he can trash the nonuseful scrolls and unneeded talismans for 10 pts each in Clean-Up Brittania.   But its disheartening to go multiple sessions (1600+ boards)  and not get a new recipe.

You can only get bow recipes from bowyer quests,but it makes no difference which quests you take to get them. However recipes are also found in treasure chests and are sometimes sold on player vendors
