Thanks for sharing. I wish all of this awareness would help light a fire in the developers to fix the Classic Client. It's pretty clear that most of us just want to resize the gameplay window to our 4K monitor with a steady 60FPS.
There are a few third party clients that did just this and it looked and played absolutely amazing.
Am feeling quite blasé about the game. Several years spent on a server which doesn’t quite appeal to me, and now they start prohibiting good clients.
I’ve read the devs say “NL won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay”, but with NL we are left with less: no good clients, time spent on NL and not on production shards, etc.
I don’t personally feel it was UO’s systems, as convoluted as they are, that was prohibiting new players. I feel it was that you had to learn JavaScript or python to have a decent experience.
Maybe NL will grow on me. I didn’t get much time with it. Regardless the team needs a plan to address their clients.
I will be slow to reply because I cannot log in/stay logged in to the forums. Make this your signature if you are tired of Vendor Search being broken, over 4 years and counting. Vendor search rendered useless after Publish 106 – Forsaken Foes on August 14, 2019.
I always thought it’d be interesting if they leaned into automation as a legitimate way to interact with the game, rather than try to mechanize things out of existence on a separate shard whose systems may never carry over to the production shards.
UO doesn’t have a very good history when it comes to “splitting the baby”. First it was Fel & Tram. Then it was the first 3D client. Then it was the 2nd. Then it was the 3rd — unbelievably. Now, how will they balance NL and the other shards?
It’s a bummer that NL has me less enthused about the game than when it was still in development and the content for the live servers were cookie cutter. Maybe it’s just the ambient progress we see on free shards sinking into my brain, as much as I don’t want to draw an equivalence there. I’ll at least stick around to give NL a shot when it officially releases.
Eh, no one is rioting and no one is mad over just resizing pixels so define “modern conveniences.” And then further quoting some of the biggest critics of the game.
I usually like reading their stuff but this was a miss.

I think it would be cool to have a "no-holds-barred" shard, where as the name describes, nothing is against the rules. (Except stuff like threats, harassment, doxxing, etc)
Posting the same no info trash in multiple places isn't advertising I'm sure smarter posters remember the things Mesanna promised years ago with the next big thing announcement but nothing I've seen so far bringing any new players or even returning vets ..
Acknowledgment and accountability go a long way...

Where would they advertise? I have not seen an advertisement for any games that had fewer than 200,000 subs or users.
Where have you looked?
Social Media is where things are advertised in the 2020s. UO has those.
I got no threads closed, personal attacks from others did. They need to fact check your posts.
Where do you expect them to advertise? I literally showed you one that you said did not exist.
Here are some more.
The dissembling is strong in you always.
