Macro. Creation? EC

Can you make a macro to speak in general chat? I can make one for just over head but haven't figured out general chat

    When using pinco there is a macro option for chat.  You create the macro in there, and make sure you have general chat channel selected.  I am sure it is similar with vanilla EC.  Under communication tab

    I couldn't.  /c with a space or without wouldn't work.  I tried putting it alone before another say as well.  /chat also didn't work.

    Not sure that I want someone to be able to do that, personally.
