Macros keep switching key bind

I am familiar with macros, how to add, apply and ok. I've set up a bunch of macros. However, this has caught me out. I am in the UK and use a UK keyboard running Windows, if that makes any difference. (Its the only thing I can think of and not sure how to fix it)

I set up a macro for ALT + \ (Select nearest hostile, attack target) On a UK keyboard this is left of the Z key.
It saves and functions as intended until I log back in again, and the macro switches to the # key. Which on a UK keyboard is left of return key.

Is this a bug, is this somehow intentional, or overlooked, and please is there a way to fix it so that I can bind the \ key on my keyboard to the macro without it changing to the the hash.
