    I'd assume summer solstice would be starting in a couple weeks to go with the actual start of summer but the Dev team doesn't always start things to coincide with the calendar. Especially since we are "coming off an event". I can't remember the last time we had one event end and a new event start within weeks of each other.

    My fear is that the Summer Solstice event isn't going to be much more than a clicky type thing (like pixie lanterns) where we go to Fire island for some watermelon and that's it.

    Solstice deco stuff is set up in clearing outside wrong now on Atl. 

    Edit: Been a minute since i've ventured here so could be leftover? Idk.

    Update: I was running around today on a few shards just looking to see if anything was happening for the Summer Solstice and ran into Mesanna. She was nice enough to give me some details on the Summer Solstice. Sounded like there will be a post on UO.com made next week with the full details but I've given a sneak peek below for those who didn't want to wait.

    She confirmed that the Summer Solstice will be another single day faire style event that will be on a certain day in July and appears will be just on a single shard again. She said there will be 2 time slots (likely an AM & PM slot) that will be a couple hours. Sounded like the next Treasures event won't be until much later this year. :/

    I am positive, want the best for UO, however...

    Im really against this, You have to be online on one certain day during the month of July?  I mean cmon, its July its the month where most go on vacation and are not home.   Now I have no plans of holiday in July so OK NP here,  but if the whole summer menu is about one single day of action im totally against it.

    If you take a look at the publishes past 6months its basically nothing, appart from the Easter eggs,  you could hunt those in June, easter content lol.

    I dont want to sound negative, I want UO for the next 20 years,
    but this is very thin material mam, poor people who cant be online that day.

    I'm not sure if the date is set in stone but it sounds like it's going to be a weekday (Friday).

    To your point @psycho - people will need to take off work or plan their day around it (ie potentially push back those dinner reservations in order to partake in the Summer Solstice).

    Looks like a lot of the same type of games as before and the same food/drink station is setup too so maybe the tickets will be the same as before so less pressure to attend.

    The amount of players I've seen quit in the last 3 years since we've gone to ToT/Quest/Spawn rinse and repeat is astonishing. We need new content, an active dev team fixing bugs, doing client updates, QOL changes, banning/disabling 3rd party clients. What we don't need is a game they've been pitching/working on for 5+ years now (originally announced at the 20th, remember) that no one asked for and leeches all the dev time.

    @Mesanna the production servers are hemorrhaging players. It's time to give up the new game and focus on the few players we've got left.

    There are talks but reports say that it is only talks, nothing substantive yet.  How many people work at BS?     I liked the event last year although I did end up getting stuck in line pretty much the entire time and didn’t get to participate in the game I was in line for.

    Yeah that game is back...not going anywhere near it.  That's the only one that's the same as the 25th. Yes there is a bar and grill but I seriously doubt the tickets and food/drink items will be the same as the 25th, that would be stupid.

    I am just enjoying looking at the deco, it's amazing and funny. Got a million screenshots already!

    My favorite? Jeremiah ;) Whoever put that in? You rock!

    I am very much looking forward to it.

    I'm not opposed to the idea if they want to do a 1 day festival on 1 shard on a weekday that maybe half the population or less. I'd like to try to attend this one since I missed out on the first one but I do not think that a single day event should be the only thing we get for the entire summer. 

    Sorry but a 12 hour "event" (actually much less active time "doing" the event) isn't enough entertainment to last for 3-4 months.

    There needs to be something new to do with something new to work towards for at least a couple weeks for me to keep my subscriptions going. I haven't actually played UO actively (outside the 2 days before the Spring reward vendor was put up) since about Oct/Nov of last year because I was finished grinding the dungeon after 2 months and Krampus/Artisan Fest was basically the same exact as the year before; then there wasn't anything to do until April which was an event that had zero new rewards that I didn't already have.

    Do you play this game?  I know a lot of people want NEW things to do....but there's never *nothing* to do.

    I guess you need a guild or something, we do Underwater Boss, Peerless, Shrine Battles, Guild parties (Next one is the 4th) Questing, I think we ran like 9+ characters through the Quest to get the diving suit which was a blast.

    I guess to each their own, but there's always something to do in this game.

    I got stuck in line too but was among the first - and only group - to play that game and we did all get the prize. Fortunately, I had another character on 2nd puter that won two prizes and I was able to fill 2  books. Which deco, Larisa? Lat year or this year? If this year, where is the new deco, please?

    I don't get it either. I've been around a long time and there's stuff i've never touched in the game yet.

    A lot of red white and Blue deco, so I would speculate the 30th or the 7th.  Hope its not the 7th, Ill be in Cozumel so can't make it. Also out of town the 23rd...

    Looks like some rewards will be sea or water theme.  Which I like.  Also want the watermelon.

    That will be the watermelon, the Hydra statue is a clicky, one per account.

    Oh we have Tailor's diligently working on that! They were quite upset to realize they couldn't place a house on Fire Island but there will be vendors in Luna selling Summer Solstice wear ;)

    NO gate yet Skett but it's right outside Abyss so if you use a portal, there are plenty in Luna here on Origin, you can get there. If you want to see and need a runebook or whatever gimme a shout here or on Stratics and I can hook you up.
