"classic client, if you touch the front of a house that you're not accessed to, you receive the snap back effect, causing your character to get stuck/killed,
issue affects classic client only, not deleted

It's called rubberbanding. It's been happening for 25 years now. It affects all clients, you're not special.

"not all clients, show me video, why you're raging if they fix an issue?
if it affects your deleted client too then why would you be mad if they fixed it?

unless you're trying to say it's not a bug and you like the rubberbanding 'feature' and want it to stay?"

DO not fix this!  That's how you can see what's in a certain type IDOC property!
Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

"they said no rubber banding on front of house, it can happen sometimes but v v rare on the most commonly used client,
but it's 100% of time on official classic client"

Imo keeps should have been fixed the moment that custom castle/keep housing patch went live and completely changed their footprint. Compounded with the bug of the front steps kicking people  under the sign is just another shining example of gross negligence on the side of our devs.

"Just to correct this misinformation, here's the option that you have, that we don't have that fixes the rubber banding on stairs error
    ClientOptionSet("BlockWalkingOnMultiStairsInWarMode", 0);

you maybe didn't have it enabled"

Maybe it's broken spellbook straps?  Or some issue with provoed creatures not be affected by mystic aoe spells?

"this only gets CC client users an extra couple of deaths per day,
but really should not be any penalty for using CC client, even one death from bug that only occurs on CC client is likely to cause someone to download third party fixes"

“When people use wall of stone relative tile script on a person using CC classic client, they can see it affects them more than other players (increased stop time due to rubber banding) and so you end up having people wall of stone scripting you more often as it’s a vulnerability in the client.
EG, if you play without resisting spells, guilds will notify each other and we’ll all cast paralyse on the person who is vulnerable to that attack. If someone casts wall of stone script they will immediately notice target is vulnerable to the attack and direct all other guild members of the vulnerability.”

Currently playing felucca with CC. Everything works as normal, problems seem to be user related. Have you tried resetting your modem? Maybe turning your monitor off and then back on? Are your keyboard and mice plugged in? What was the last time you cleaned your mouseball? If all else fails, try clearing your printer queue.

Edit: having just spoken with the guild leader of R!SE she has confirmed that the aforementioned user's difficulties within felucca while using the CC are a well known user related issue, amongst other many other less than appropriate issues that seem to plague said user.

"how this is user error? it's rubber band + missing nerve strike debuff

it's 2 bugs in 0.5 seconds that only occur on broadsword classic client, so why they telling us not to talk about it?
it happens 50 times a day, of course nobody is going to play with this happening to them.

If this happened to a player even 1 time they would of course uninstall client immediately

only okay to use this client in trammel where you can walk through walls and nothing nerve strikes you so don't matter that the debuff is broken and don't show"

    If you

    1. Hear bok sound
    2. Can’t move

Then you know it nerve striked dont need to read journals or look up buffs
  • YoshiYoshi Posts: 3,322
"okay you better have your buff/debuff bar closed then, and read journal for all"

Weird, I'm legally blind and deaf in both hands yet I have no issue with not having special buff/debuff bars.

Sounds like another user related problem.

    Suggestion: Use EC client.

You should find a new argument, defaulting to one that's been disproved time and time again looks bad. Once you do that maybe learn what a bug is and is not then stop crying wolf (or in this case, bug) every time you are inconvenienced in pvp. For example, a bug is not something that hasn't been added or is otherwise working as intended. On the flip side, a bug is something that would say, allow a player to bypass the skill point restrictions put into place by developers. And as an added bonus lesson, making use of that bug for years before reporting it once people start calling you out for questionable gameplay mechanics made impossible by the limiting factors of skill point restrictions (such as being seen using high level spells of mysticism, spellweaving, necromancy, and magery with resisting spells and only 35 extra skill points on your entire suit) would be called exploiting.

"oh okay, nerve strike debuff not showing is not a bug and working as intended lol okay
pretty sure the buff/debuff bar description says otherwise"

That's because the buff/debuff bar can only display things that have been added to it, which is possible for the player to do with the EC however requires developer patching for the CC. So yes, the buff/debuff bar not displaying something that hasn't been added to the list of things to be displayed on an event means that it is working as intended. Now if it were producing an erroneous icon that is unrelated to the event trigger, that would be a bug.

It's not an error for a list that is manually updated to not have something added to it yet, that would be called oversight. An error would be an unintended result via the execution of the function.
