Soulstone Vessel Questions

Hi, could you help with these 2 questions please?

1.- Is the soulstone vessel a solid blocker or a walk-though like the newer fountains of life?
2.- Has the open gump been enlarged? I remember seeing it was quite tiny, but I believe saw a post (yet can't find it now)  with an enlarged gump.

Thanks to both! The big gump looks pretty... and useable!
Too bad its a solid... Cant be where I wanted it, but I'll get it if a find a decent corner out of the way where it looks good too
