Why Buying 2,000 UO Sovereigns is COSTLIER than Buying 4 x 500 UOS???

In the European EA UO Store buying 2,000 UOS costs 19.90 euro, where buying the same UOS sum as 4 x 500 UOS costs only 19.60 euros (those are the "full" prices, the ones one pays with the EA sub are lower, but with the same proportional difference).

The discrepancy is there even if one buys 5,000 UOS vs 10 x 500 UOS (49.90 euro vs 49.00 euro).

Why is that? Shouldn't the price be the same, or different in the opposite direction??? :o

Cheers

People have been saying this since forever, yes it's very silly, no they don't care as they have no control over Origin, apparently.

    Doh! This is crazy!!! :#
I was unaware of this, as, after a couple of bad experiences with CC funded subs (not in UO), I always use GTC or similar methods for all the games I play online, and use ONLY prepaid Cards to pay for any of my online purchase... B)
